We're delighted to welcome Mr Henry Winkler (aka The Fonz) to Mumsnet for a live webchat from his home in LA. Henry has transformed his own experiences of struggling through school with unidentified dyslexia into a great series of books for kids; 'Hank Ziper: The World's Greatest Underachiever'. As well as telling us about his books, Henry will be chatting about his own experiences with dsylexia, his recent tour of UK schools and of course dancing around the juke box at Arnold's Restaurant. If you can't join us on the day, post your advance questions here.

FrannyandZooey · 06/07/2009 22:36

no i've never seen anything
i stopped watching tv circa 1982

AitchTwoOh · 06/07/2009 22:37

LupusinaLlamasuit · 06/07/2009 22:40

Cannot. Believe. I. Missed. This.

Am in love.

Kudos for getting the Shark in.

AitchTwoOh · 06/07/2009 22:43

what does she lend you?

LucilleAustero · 06/07/2009 22:50

He was wonderful wasn't he? I love him more than ever now.

Aitch - look here. It looks like the Arrested Development movie 2010 is really happening. But I see that he's not listed in the cast. So now I feel like a real twat for pestering him with questions about the show.

AitchTwoOh · 06/07/2009 22:54

he's to be the father of ron howard's children should the gingery god pop his clogs, i'm sure he'll be in it. i've been looking at some of the youtube clips just now. ron howard is hilarious in it too.

LupusinaLlamasuit · 06/07/2009 22:54

Oh god, he is so funny all on his own without writers. Unless he has a team sat behind him.

'My parents were very, very, very, very, very short Germans'.

And at: 'I tell every child I meet, without exception, that they have a special gift inside them.

Their job is to figure out what it is and give it to the world.'

Get him back. Immediately.

63? We all would though, right?

I certainly would. He was fab as Captain Hook in Peter Pan a couple of years ago too.

OK. You get Joanie then, Lenin?

AitchTwoOh · 06/07/2009 23:09

with the greatest respect to someone who is probably HW's pal, but i can't imagine joanie floated anyone's boat. even chachi looked like it was quite an acting challenge.

Actually the mum is/was quite sexy. All coquettish and glinty eyed, even if a bit deliberately stoopid.

God, I loved that programme when I was young enough to appreciate it. How 'too cool' we all became too quickly, and then hated it, when it was really quite good.

ohhhh I missed this.

Henry - I have always loved you!

mollyroger · 07/07/2009 08:11

And I know you won't be reading this anymore but may I say, as the mum of a very beautiful and cool 11-year-old who has been very badly let down by some staff at school, and every day is a battle, your warmth and wisdom have made me cry.
Bless you Mr Winkler.
