MNHQ here: got a question for the Prime Minister?

RhiannonEMumsnet · 29/05/2022 12:03

Hi all,

We’re pleased to tell you that next week Justine will be sitting down with Prime Minister Boris Johnson to ask him Mumsnet users’ questions.

If you have a question you'd like answering, you can post it below. Please stick to the usual guidelines - one question per user, keep it civil, and if one topic is dominating, please don't continue to post what's effectively the same question or point. We'll be limited for time so do keep questions as short as possible so that we’re able to ask more of them - as always, we'll try to make sure we cover the topics that we know are important to Mumsnet users.

We'll be closing this thread at noon on Monday, so please do get your questions in before that - and watch this space to hear how the Prime Minister responds.

Thanks,
MNHQ

Have you no shame?

TheCaddieisaBaddie · 29/05/2022 12:25

I can't bare to listen to him any more but you can ask him why he won't provide honest straightforward, to the point answers without trying to divert the topic onto something else. He is here to serve the British public so when we ask a question he should simply answer it - honestly and succinctly.

The loveable buffoon with messy hair act might possibly have worked when you were Mayor of London, but do you really think it’s appropriate on the world stage with Macron or Merkel etc. Yes, they may also have their faults, but at least they appear to be taking their jobs seriously.

BoreOfWhabylon · 29/05/2022 12:29

I suspect this is all rather futile though, and there will be a few questions on here planted by Conservatives which will be the only ones that are actually answered.
Indeed.

@RhiannonEMumsnet @JustineMumsnet
Can you please ensure that questions are only taken from established Mumsnetters.

Where is the money tree the government thinks middle earners all have?

who earn too much for benefits, and were doing well financially until the cost of living went mental and are now wondering how we'll pay our mortgages and utilities and fuel costs too.

These people cant just pull money out of thin air for these bill increases.

What is the PMs plan for when people just cant find the money to pay their bills?? Will middle earners start to get handouts too?

InMySpareTime · 29/05/2022 12:30

Why was Carrie holding the "important strategy meeting" in his flat for 2 hours before he arrived there from the leaving drinks?
Is it ok for her to have access to high level governmental strategy decisions while being totally unelected and unaccountable?
When will Whitehall and Downing Street become sober workplaces? If never, why is it acceptable to abuse alcohol there?

Nidan2Sandan · 29/05/2022 12:31

Is there any plans to solve the NHS Dentist crisis?

As in, there arent any!!! Everyone should have the option of an NHS dentist the same way we all have the option of an NHS GP.

francesfrankenfurter · 29/05/2022 12:33

How are carried and will?
Do you see much of them?

francesfrankenfurter · 29/05/2022 12:34

Carrie and wilf

SchoolThing · 29/05/2022 12:36

Do you have any redeeming features?

Potterbore · 29/05/2022 12:37

How can the Government hold us to account when we are unable to do the same to you?
How is your Government preparing to tackle the mental health issues in children and young people whilst service cuts are in place? Please don’t bang on about school attendance whilst not providing funding to schools to help once they are in school.
Lockdown has caused numerous issues which we are struggling to help with.

MrsRobinsonsHandprints · 29/05/2022 12:37

How are the violin lessons progressing?

Mumwantingtogetitright · 29/05/2022 12:38

How many children have you got?

Iwantcollarbones · 29/05/2022 12:39

Why are you allowing the energy companies to amass such huge profits whilst the British people are struggling to feed their families?

FinallyHere · 29/05/2022 12:39

Prime Minister,

did you ever expect that during your time in office,

advising HM The Queen that it was legal in the then prevailing circumstances to prorogue parliament,

would turn out to be quite far down the list of things that happened and were subsequently identified to be incorrect &

needed to be corrected?

Follow up question

At what point did you personally apologise to HM The Queen for that advice which was subsequently identified to be incorrect?

RunningRainbow · 29/05/2022 12:39

How do you define integrity, and do you believe that you have acted with it?

Mumwantingtogetitright · 29/05/2022 12:40

Mumwantingtogetitright · 29/05/2022 12:38

How many children have you got?

Sorry, just realised that it's one question per member. You can ignore this one @mnhq in favour of my first one. It's highly unlikely that the PM will know the answer to this one in any case.

KindleAndCake · 29/05/2022 12:40

🤯

FinallyHere · 29/05/2022 12:41

@Arkhamasylum respect

TeenPlusCat · 29/05/2022 12:42

What is the government going to do about public bodies wasting money recording different genders (e.g. civil service 100, police force 67), and paying money to Stonewall for incorrect training & legal advice, and go back to what we all know is true, that sex is binary and immutable?
(and isn't that far far more important than legislating to reintroduce outdated imperial measurements.)

francesfrankenfurter · 29/05/2022 12:42

MrsRobinsonsHandprints · 29/05/2022 12:37

How are the violin lessons progressing?

I thought he had given up violin lessons and taken up another instrument instead.

2bazookas · 29/05/2022 12:44

You have abused your position by lying in and to Parliament and the nation.
Don't we deserve an honest leader we can trust?

SmallThingsEverywhere · 29/05/2022 12:44

What’s the point in doing this when we can’t believe a word he says!

Flopisfatteningbingforchristmas · 29/05/2022 12:46

Please explain to my 6 year old why you have broken the law and still remain PM.

FlowerArranger · 29/05/2022 12:46

Mumwantingtogetitright · 29/05/2022 12:13

Do you think integrity is important, and of so, why did you remove all reference to it in the ministerial code?

THIS.

And is he planning to naff off any time soon - and who amongst the sterling members of the cabinet does he feel is best placed to take over....... and why?
