Sunday Times columnist India Knight will be joining us here on Monday 2nd July from 9-10pm for a live chat. India has just published her first children's book 'The Baby' which is about a big brother's relationship with his new baby sister - an absolute must for second-time parents. If you can't make the chat you can post your questions in advance here.
Hope to see you here on Monday.

India what do you think of Enid Blyton - will you read them to your children?

You never know! Nannies around here get fired for many things - shagging their boyfriends on the living room carpet, feeding the home-educated children rubbish, refusing to walk 2 hours/day whilst pushing 4-year-olds in buggies . . .

francagoestohollywood · 02/07/2007 21:21

why shouldn't it be ok?

Piffle · 02/07/2007 21:21

3 mths old is my youngest
But one has to point out that his conception was almost miraculous...

Okies I will send a photo to the blog then
DD loves a photo

Twiglett · 02/07/2007 21:22

what do you think of Piers Morgan?

indiaknight · 02/07/2007 21:22

C&L - completely subjctive answer: 1) stop closing special schools; 2) make it easier to navigate the NIGHTMARE of statemementing and all associated processes; 3) allow all carers respite help.

Blandmum · 02/07/2007 21:22

sally, look on top of the loo.

That was where I left mine last......

ahundredtimes · 02/07/2007 21:22

You wrote recently "most women, no matter how high-achieving, beautiful or intelligent, have, at the back of their minds, a worm of anxiety about their nanny and her effect on their husband"

Have neither husband or nanny, so no worms here.
You move in privileged circles. I hope your nanny is well-behaved.

mwah mwah- a good three - would agree with that.

expatinscotland · 02/07/2007 21:23

One of my Lotto fantasies is a fund for respite care AND a fund to tide folks over whilst their DLA apps and statementing processes are on-going.

The fun never stops, does it?

morningpaper · 02/07/2007 21:23

India what websites do you mostly waste time on?

indiaknight · 02/07/2007 21:23

Boco - I used to love EB when I was a child, esp. the St Clare's/Mallory Towers books.... I might read my daughter edited versions of these. Maybe. The fairy stories with the horrid black golliwogs, I'll pass on.

Hathor · 02/07/2007 21:24

Oh totally agree with you on SN.

ahundredtimes · 02/07/2007 21:24

Thank you Quatt. Cod, drop the strawberry in the glass.

Carmenere · 02/07/2007 21:24

From down below

""India, are you and Neris still corresponding daily about your diets and have you managed to keep the weight off?
Also do you really think that you must give up alcohol for the first few months of any weightloss programme(you can probably guess where my Weight Watchers diet is failing me)?""
