Not sure of the point of this given that she sold the company some time ago.

HeCantBeSerious · 06/09/2016 20:37

She's got a new book out. ;)

I am now in my mid thirties and my skin around my eyes is telling my age. I feel it's lighter and dryer than the rest of my skin. I apply an eye cream morning and night, what else can I do?

RachelMumsnet · 07/09/2016 11:21

Hi there, we're sorry if there's been some confusion here about Liz's involvement in the company. We've been in touch this morning and they have come back to say that Liz remains a global brand ambassador for Liz Earle Beauty Co. and continues to work closely alongside the directors. As she's involved in most of their product launches and events, she is very knowledgeable on the products. As well as answering Qs on LE products, she will be on-hand today to offer advice as a beauty and skin care expert and tell us about her new book, Skin.

Hope this clarifies and apologies for not being clearer in the opening post. Keep the questions coming and don't forget to join us for the live facial before the webchat on Facebook live at 12.30pm

Is there a best thing to do or use to avoid a wrinkly neck as you age?

Pickofthepops · 07/09/2016 12:43

Hi Liz

Another cleanse and polish devotee - original formula as it helps with my really sluggish sinuses and decongests better than anything else.

Do you recommend cutting out dairy? I'm feeling that it's been an irritant for me - dietary and skin - my nearly 2 yr old Gabriella was cows milk intolerant at first weaning. Consultant advised slow phased reintroduction and I'm sure she is not tolerating it that well even now. We're both pale of face and dark shadows - more me than her. Just wondered what you think of the link with dairy / general system congestion - thanks

CMOTDibbler · 07/09/2016 12:50

Hi Liz, any recommendations for my red nose? I don't have spots, my skin is otherwise good for my age (43), but in spite of spf 50 etc I have a red nose and huge pores

sunshinebutterbee · 07/09/2016 13:25

Hiya,

I always look terribly tired in the mornings also and the "morning face" can sometimes stay on for hours.
Is there anything you would recommend to look fresh in the mornings? and something to get rid of dark circles
Thanks!

GloveBug · 07/09/2016 13:27

The skin on my face is quite pitted (from an obsessive issue with squeezing spots). Is there anything I can do to improve this?

RachelMumsnet · 07/09/2016 13:31

Liz is ready to start answering your questions. She'll be here until 2.30 so do post up before then and she'll aim to get through as many as possible. Welcome to Mumsnet Liz.

Hi Liz, are you going to reintroduce Spot On at all? This was the best spot and bite antidote I've ever used.

Hi - the beauty company are working on this now. I like using Orajel gum gel to numb the itch ;)

@MothersGrim

I just want to say how refreshing I find your make up counters in department stores. Natural looking ladies in comfortable clothes. Also, they have always been lovely and helpful. (Boots and John Lewis in the Trafford Centre)

If I have to ask a question I suppose I'll make it the obvious one! If you could only have one item in your make up bag - what would it be?

Thanks so much for that! As for one item, would have to be mascara - just to curl and darken the lashes is so flattering for everyone and makes me look brighter/fresher ;)

Hi Liz Mine is a health question. I'm lacking in energy/vitality. I have extremely low ferritin stores, the dr can't come up with any answers as to why. What would be your top tip for energy boosting? I have iron tablets prescribed but 1) I forget to take them and 2) they just cause other issues Confused

I like Floradix iron tonic personally. Also, red meat (sorry for the veggies), especially grass-fed beef. Make sure you have plenty of vitamin C too to help increase iron absorption...

Liz, do you have any plans to expand your make-up range? I would love to see eye shadows available.

I know that the beauty company are reviewing their make up range. Thanks for your feedback here.

Scrubs are useful and you could try a glycolic peel (speak to your GP if it is bad as you could get a dermatologist referral). I like rosehip oil used each night onto clean skin to help reduce scarring also (works for helping to fade stretch marks too)

Sounds like rosacea? Do head over to my wellbeing website (lizearlewellbeing.com) as there is a fab factsheet there which could really help - with diet, herbal and medical resources. Good luck. X

Hmmm it's a big step to cut out dairy, especially for a little one. Worth looking at improving gut health - super-helpful for infants and tots too. Take a look at the Nature Doc website for Lucinda Miller. Hope this is helpful

@AnnieOnAMapleLeaf

Welcome to MN, Liz. I am desperate to try the Cleanse and Polish but I live in Canada and shipping and duty fees from the US are ridiculously expensive. Are there any plans to bring the line to Canada? Please please say yes. Smile

No plans to launch in Canada yet as far as I know but I will be happy to pass on your request to the beauty company.

Never forget your neck! Use the same skincare on your neck as you do on your face, so cleanse, tone and moisturise your neck and don't stop at your chin! neck creams can be useful, but are often mostly rich moisturisers. Using a serum is also great for neck and upper chest areas :)

Thanks!

Are you sleeping well? try valerian or passionflower tea last thing at night to help. Lots of plain water during the day is best for dark circles - so at least 1.5 litres daily. In the morning, fill a basin with icey cold water (even add a few ice cubes) and splash you face, especially around the eye area, to help reduce dark circles and puffiness :) Hope this helps - take a look at lizearlewellbeing.com for more on eyes and puffiness X

Hi Liz - I suffer from tiny "blackheads" on my nose and forehead - I'm post-menopausal and not very wrinkly but I do like to moisturise.

What's best to keep the "blackheads" down without drying out my skin?
