If we’re doing David Essex (and frankly who wouldn’t) I think we should also do Peter Gabriel.

Such a sexy voice too. He looks a bit like Gary Numan there.

I watched lots of cowboy films with my dad when I was young and along with the stars already mentioned, I’d like to mention Audie Murphy

Also my moms favourite, Dean Martin here with his equally good looking son Dean-Paul who died tragically young in a plane crash

😄 Was about to say everyone looks gorgeous in black and white......oh well....

I saw Spellbound recently at the cinema and Gregory Peck was luminous!

Gregory first came to my attention in the film Roman Holiday << fans self >>

Here's a nice pic of him from my Pinterest board.

... but my all-time favourite is James Mason.

The voice. Melting

I think this thread should just keep going, even if we keep repeating the James Masons and Cary Grants in it.

Oh here they are again!

One we haven't had yet, I think. David Niven in A Matter of Life and Death. 'I always hoped there would be dogs.' Wonderful, wonderful film. His two books of anecdotes are very funny indeed. I do like a man with a sense of humour.
