Aibu over lady using my parking spaces.

We live in a housing estate and each house or flat has one or two spaces allocated to them. Most of the spaces are directly outside our houses except a few that are round the side that have garages. The spaces aren't numbered but everyone seems to know who's is whose. There's a new neighbour that has moved in next door to me (a corner house) and has a garage parking space round the back of her house, however she uses both my spaces as she parks in the middle of them. It's quite annoying when there's nowhere else to park as you have to park further down the road.

I went over today and introduced myself and poilitley told her the spaces were mine and hers was round the back but she was welcome to use our other space when we don't have guests but could she park to one side so I can fit my car next to hers. She looked at me with a blank expression, said no and shut the door on me! What do I do now!? I just stood there for a moment open mouthed and then went home.

Now I'm not sure if she has mobility problems as she's not exactly nimble anymore (about 65) but I am shocked at her one word reply!

Argh I'm so angry on your behalf!!

Clutterbugsmum · 16/02/2015 19:33

Can you/someone block her car in the parking space and some one block her garage entrance.

I suspect your neighbour is used to bullying other to get what she wants. Its good that you have not let her get away with it.

Clutterbugsmum · 16/02/2015 19:34

Sorry meant to add can she get in her car from the passenger side.

Nanasueathome · 16/02/2015 19:36

Keep us updated please .....preferably every 10 minutes or so.....

What an absolute cow. Make sure that if she ever gets abusive in public over any of this that you note times, dates and places, the language used, any threats etc, and a complaint for harassment may become viable.

Wow what a nerve your ndn has! Nar sounds great though.

ChrisMooseAlbanians · 16/02/2015 19:40

Love a decent parking thread!!!! Awaiting updates Grin

laughingmyarseoff · 16/02/2015 19:42

Submit her parking to this OP youparklikeacunt.com/

Momagain1 · 16/02/2015 19:42

Mocheenee · 16/02/2015 19:43

Placemarking Wink

VioletMoon4683 · 16/02/2015 19:45

ohdearitshappeningtome · 16/02/2015 19:46

Some people are just ducking rude!!

Can't believe she wants her own space and other peoples !

Send her an invoice for rent on your property

Thankyoumrspatterson · 16/02/2015 19:47

Soooo excited to see what sobfwwplac does!!! Abbreviation stupid old fat woman who parks like a cunt :D

goldvelvet · 16/02/2015 19:51

Op next time you knock to have it out with her have your phone set to record discreetly. so that we can all watch how it plays out that you have evidence of her acknowledgement of her unreasonable behaviour, total disregard to you and open refusal to co-operate.

bumbleymummy · 16/02/2015 19:57

Ooh - there hasn't been a good parking thread for a while :) So glad you have the neighbour on your side. Good on him for blocking her in. What a strange way to behave when you've just moved in. Why would someone want to annoy the people they're going to be living beside for (potentially) years?

KitKat1985 · 16/02/2015 20:00

Blatant place marking.

Any updates OP?

Pipbin · 16/02/2015 20:08

I like NAR. Good to have a comrade and one who is more angry. You can sit back at watch.
Lovely attitude she has.

Treeceratops · 16/02/2015 20:11

I can't do a link OP but you want landregistry.gov.uk for copies of title deeds. Any site without the .gov bit sources them from there and charges you an obscene mark-up.

SirChenjin · 16/02/2015 20:12

I've been lurking on this one for too long - can't hold back any longer Grin

You are NAR need to park on either side of her so that she can't use the passenger side to get into her car. What a woman - is she determined to piss everyone off before she makes a public fool of herself?

JackieTheFart · 16/02/2015 20:19

I think you should park up against her as well. When she comes banging on your door, as her if it looks like you give a shit.

Then she'll know you and NAR are working in tandem and can block her in all the time Smile

What an absolute tool this woman is. Just goes to show that some people are still arseholes when they get a bit older!

Nannyplum2015 · 16/02/2015 20:20

Sorry no updates! I am a bit worried about what it'll be like living next to her though Confused. She's quiet though which is a positive and she hasn't had any visitors, so hopefully the parking problem won't be any worse!

donnie · 16/02/2015 20:20

Oh gosh I bloody love this thread Grin. OP you are a paragon of patience and calmness while your NAR is a bit more feisty - a perfect combination. What does your DH say about all of this? anyway hopefully there is strength in numbers and your vile, grabby neighbour will be shamed into parking sensibly. LMAO @ youparklikeacunt.com!!!!

DotRotten · 16/02/2015 20:22

Love the invoice idea!

SauvignonBlanche · 16/02/2015 20:23

I'm glad you've got an ally now, in NAR.
