Things that you used to do as a child repetitively and now think "WTF?!"

The hot chocolate thread got me thinking about this. For some reason, I used to tip a full glass of water onto the carpet, the same patch of carpet, every single day. No clue why. I was asked to stop, but I just did it anyway

I ate chalk too, like the chalk kids draw with. Both of these things happened until high school age?!

Anything utterly random and repetitive you may have done?

So many.......... There used to be a home dry cleaning fluid called dabbitoff which I liked to sniff until my ears started ringing. I doubt you can buy the stuff now and I'm amazed I never suffered serious damage!

I used to get undressed for bed in the living room and used to dive behind the sofa if the news came on as I thought the news reader would be able to see my naked body.

When sitting on the loo I used to pick my nose and smear it on the wall. Yuck. I think my mum must have cleaned it all off from time to time as it all disappeared every so often

I used to eat heaped spoonfuls of sugar when my Mum wasn't looking.
It's a wonder I have any teeth left!

I used to rub my legs/feet up and down the radiator next to my bed, for hours.

I remember getting up out of my bed again and again to talk to my parents because I was bored. they weren't too pleased.

My best friend and I used to draw pictures of naked people in a special secret notebook that we had (age about 8/9). Our parents found the notebook and had to have a talk about it.

I used to bite and run my teeth along my wooden headboard and any wooden furniture because I liked the way the varnish squashed down.

I used to bite pieces off the sponge while in the bath, then chew them up for a while and spit them out. I notice at least one pp did the same!

I used to collect dead bees. I would then put them in the dolls house arranged on the furniture like some apian Sylvanian Families.

I had a candlewick bedspread .... My room was odd. You had to unlatch my door, small landing, latch door into sisters room, thru hers, unlatch door, downstairs, clicky ball door, thru kitchen, thru bathroom to toilet.

So I crumpled up the candlewick bedspread and wee'd on that .... My room got smellier and smellier

Mum finally noticed and I was given a potty ... Aged 8 .... And I remember I had to empty it myself which was MEAN

I probably had loads but reading a pp comment about ice cream I remember that myself and my sister used to have a bowl of Ice cream and sprinkles and used to spit it back in the bowl until it was a grey ice cream soup!

Also our nan used to buy us chicken roll which we had in sandwiches, we'd then squash the sandwiches down flat, and to this day chicken roll is flat chicken!

Also ate raw mince. Can still remember loving the texture.
