Timesofhope..... I got carried away......Did I say that I think it would be the maddest thing in the world to enter into a deal of emotional blackmail with your MIL? She can scream and shout all she likes.......this is your life, these are your babies and help is only help if its helpful. Help is not to be paraded about like some gaudy medallion. So what if she removes all financial support.......you do it your way. All the rest will fall into place. If times are tough, there is always someone willing to help. Sorry to be blunt but she sounds a right beeeeaatch handful.

Hi all.

Oooggs my DTs had just turned 2 when DD was born, it was tough but much more fun now she is 18 months and they are 3 and a half (and one still not toilet trained, aaaaaaggggggggghhhhhhhh).

I cant keep up with you lot! FIL has had another operation and really scarily he felt the whole op but could not say anything - he had a twisted bile duct so they had to open him up again, the anaesthetist turned off the flow to the pain drugs but not the paralysing drugs so he could not scream or move or do anything. The anaesthetist has admitted what he did, can you believe it!? So scary. He now has pneumonia and pleurisy so DH thinking he may go back down again whilst we are here.

It is bucketing down here really heavy rain and cold. Well I guess we did come when its just coming into their winter. Its sort of a break, but a bit like being at home really, sitting in the house with the TV on and the rain pouring down! Anyway gotta go and supervise small children.
