Just found out expecting triplets at 14 week scan

No history of multiples, not on any fertility treatment. Bit shocked. Lady doing scan was shocked too, never seen before, and spent an hour checking it was true! Still sinking in, but info would help it to sink in, I hope.

Any other people who have triplets or expecting triplets?

• how long can you usually carry them for?
• what are the effects on your body?
• what's it like after?!!! (a long one)
• how likely is it all 3 will live?

etc.

No question of termination for me, so just trying to get to grips with the reality here, it's all very surreal.

Hello again, sounds as if you are doing really well and have already thought of lots of stuff our triplet girls are non-identical. We begged, borrowed & bought at NCT sales so they slept in moses baskets at first-in the lounge when we had night help, or in our room. My 4yo ds and 2yo dd joined in with lots of stuff including feeding-we do teamwork for everything!
There was NO help available from social services, but HomeStart is a charity that helps families with children under 5 & someone came each week, sometimes twice, to help out for several years & is now a family friend
I hired an electric breast pump-from NCT or LA Leche League to feed all my children. Not too expensive & very much more efficient than a small one.

congratulations MerryMarigold i have 5 year old triple GGB mine were also naturally concieved i already had 3 children so 4 5 and 6 were a total shock. i only carried for 30 weeks. i was huge lots of bedrest.All 3 of mine are all well and have no signs of being prem. They all talk over each other and have turned our world upside down but they are fantastic and i wouldnt have my life any other way.You will have to be very organised.God did not give us 3 hands so except help also prepare to become a celebrity.
