Twin prawns and buggies? Money no object

I had 2 eggs implanted in November, positive test, but got my scan on Weds to discover firstly if (please please please) everything ok, secondly, one or both eggs?!

Obviously I am getting all overexcited, and indulging myself in some day-dreaming and window internet shopping Grin

So, let’s pretend money isn’t an object Wink what would your Rolls Royce of double prams or pushchairs have been?

Ooooh, and nappy bags?!

(If the duet is the current double mountain buggy then duo is the one with the oversize carrycot, or vice versa... can’t remember...)

Uppababy vista is what we have here.
Its a good looking workhorse, I've had many compliments and it's so practical. Not cheap mind, about a grand for the tandem.

How about changing bags?! If you had just been totally frivolous?

Honestly if money was no object I would screw the changing bag and buggy and pay for someone to come massage me every day. I’ve got such awful fluid retention, never had it with DD!
Must keep repeating what a blessing twins are and how lucky we are to have had any success with IVF at all.

moggle · 05/01/2018 23:42

But I think I would spend the money on a mulberry bag for me and not one with a wipe clean interior! As it is I have gone for a £25 Amazon Chinese rucksack one which won’t be big enough if breastfeeding doesn’t work....

Carbohol78 · 06/01/2018 22:43

@Mohgle ... or, find a pushchair from a skip and buy a pair of Louboutins!

I have a twin icandy and although it’s super stylish and nice and slim (which is great when you live in a city with loads of narrow streets!), I disagree that it’s good for nipping to the shops - it’s cumbersome and tricky to get the twin sitting on the bottom in and out once they go past the carry cot stage.

Little update ... Scan done, there’s just one little heart beat, small as should be 8 weeks, but measuring 7 weeks and 3 days, all looks ok. Am really grateful to have such wonderful news of course (would have loved twins though) thanks for the chat, ladies 😊

Congratulations that’s fabulous news! Xxx

Carbohol78 · 11/01/2018 15:10

Grrrr, second scan today at EPAU showed some bleeding in uterus, less fluid than “they’d like”, and cysts in ovary. Still a strong little heartbeat, but back next week for another scan. Am praying to everything I can think of that I still get to push a shiny pram in August 🙏🏻
