I have a little boy he’s 5 and called Maddox. I like different names. I really like the name Karis but can’t think of another girl name that’s a little bit different but not unheard of to go with it

I have twin girls. We just chose two names that we liked which took a while to agree on. I don't think it matters if they "go together"? They are individuals and will spend more of their life apart then together. Good luck.

NewChip · 26/09/2017 14:43

I like Quinn. Will have to see what the OH says

We have Charlotte and Amelia. We wanted names that didn't sound too similar i.e. not the same first initial/ ending sound. It's been shortened to Melia as that's how she says it :)

INeedToEat · 26/09/2017 15:45

Karis and Shona
Karis and Sadie
Karis and Shauna
Karis and Yana
Karis and Nina

^ This ^

Just make sure they don't got together to make something rude.

Karis & Marly

OrlandaFuriosa · 26/09/2017 20:50

Charys and Loveday. Charys means Love in Welsh ( with the suffix ys) and I assume Karis is a variant.

Karis and Amora, for love and love..

Or Karis and Loveday.

Karis and Belle. ( love and Beauty)

Karis goes quite well with Quinn, though I think of Quinn as a boy's name.

Karis and Verity
Karis and Vera ..
Both mean truth, I prefer Verity, Vera being old ladyish, but there's Vera Wang etc..

(Love and Truth)

Ponyboycurtis · 26/09/2017 20:55

Nancy and Eliza.

I have twin girls, these aren't their names but I had chosen without consulting DH, that's what they would've been called. Still, 8yts on, wish I'd kept Nancy.

Ponyboycurtis · 26/09/2017 20:55

*had I chosen!

OrlandaFuriosa · 26/09/2017 21:22

Nancy and Ruth

[Twin Mum fist bump] Smile

Echo the comment about them not having to be 'strawberries and cream' or 'benson and hedges'. If anything you want to avoid making too much of the twinness as come primary school I've been focused on trying to get everyone (and them!) to see them as two separate human beings, rather than like Samneric in Lord of the Flies... Having said which, I gave myself some 'rules' with mine e.g. stay away from names which have the same endings (so no Lucy and Sophie), stay away from ones which are from the same category of meaning (so Rose and Daisy) etc.

Names which I loved but were vetoed by evil (not really) DP were:

Nancy and Flora
Jemima and Tansy
Eloise and Ailsa
Mallory and Viola
Polly and Harriet
Sally and Iona

In the end, what we did was choose one name each (that the other was fine with). Just the one name we each loved above all. That worked really well, because they're just two girls with nice names, that don't clash with each other, but aren't matchy matchy. And the one he chose, I worried I wouldn't love the name as much (it's quite a traditional name) but the actual real life human being whose name it is imbues it with so much beauty and meaning herself that now I can't imagine her being called anything else.

Good luck, and congratulations Smile
