Well, Triplets, you and I can be on!! Next question is, where? I'm all for no children personally, as I rarely have time off from mine! However, I'm very happy to go with the flow, and if children are required then that's fine.

Evening? Food? Drink? Daytime? Food? Drink? (Not that my life revolves around food and drink...)

Triplets, yes, I am in Devonia! But I have PILs in SE London who are always willing to babysit, and I'm always happy to take advantage of that! And I am up for the Flower Show as well as having promised to take DD to see Ponko the Penguin at the National Maritime Museum in Greenwich. (He was on Scott's trip to the Antarctic. It's a four year old thing.)

I'd be fine with that week too, I'm sure I can make it sometime then! Evening or daytime is fine. What I really want, is to leave my horrors at home and jsut meet everyone elses dts

Great! So for the southerners amongst us, the week of Hampton Court Flower show, somewhere near London. Maybe with children, maybe not.

We're doing well! (nearly wrote groin then. Bit of a slip.)

3-8th July. The weekend is 7th/8th. The weekend might be easier without school runs to think about, otherwise going to be very pushed for time.

yey, we have a date!

How about somewhere like battersea park? Too far on the outskirts? It has loads of parking though, and fantastic play equipment for the kids, and even a little zoo if anyone fancied that.
More central the only one I can think of is st james park, which the kids quite like, but the play area there is quite small. Or isn;t there something in Hyde park where the princess diana memorial is?
Or, if the weather is crap, (unlikely) the science musuem is quite good for toddlers, but is likely to be busy on a saturday.

Girls, girls, girls, girls, girls!!!

I have to butt in DON'T take your children, but photos are good. They will need a wee, and cry, and hate the ice cream because it has the wrong colour sprinkles on it, and someone will get stung and no-one will have AfterBite and you'll have to make a convoy to the chemist and........the list goes on....

Take the day for yourselves. Meander through whatever environment you opt for, linger over edible delights, have a glass of wine, giggle your hearts out. You all deserve it!!!

p.s. no, I can't come, I am out of the country for the whole month of July and I'm not kidding.

kids or not kids, still debating! But if I do take kids, I will also bring dp, so he can sort them out, and I can coo over everyone elses adorable, well behaved, sweet natured dts whilst ignoring mine trying to throttle each other.

Did you see that news link? I wouldn't need to encourage mine to fight, they do it all by themselves. I caught shay yesterday slamming the door on ravi repeatedly, who was pinned against hte stairgate. Poor Ravi!

We have family in glos/wilts - and are already booked in there in August en route to Dorset for our camping trip but I will keep my options open for now, just don't count me in yet!

I think I'm with FG on the kids thing - or at least the glass of wine thing! I love them dearly, but I also love them babysat for. While I am out. Which I did last night because I am an unnatural mother, and I left them with Mum on the first and second night of DD and DT1's chicken pox fest. Came home to find all of them in bed with mum.

hello all

i've missed this thread for a while! Isn't there a concert - Live Earth or something - on in Hyde Park on 7th July? Oh god and I've just realised, it's DD1's first ballet show (and the rumour is Angelina Ballerina is making an appearance) so I'm afraid I can't make that day .
