I wish i could find someone who actually stops whinning about there husband and kids. I have twins who are almost two, a husband who works long hours and i am a stay at home mother. But my life is blessed. My choice was to be a mother, and with that to take on the responsiblities that come with it. So what if i can't poo in peace, or watch a show on tele. I do all my housework cook breakfast, lunch and dinner and take care of my family. Thats my life and i love every second of it. (even the tears and fights). I wish other mothers could be as happy with there choice to be a mother and a wife cause nobody makes you chose these roles.

Oh HM, you can't be included honey.....you've been signed off sick and are sitting watching This Morning with a monster bag of Revels on your knee, I just know it .

earlysbird · 06/11/2006 14:05

now I know why i count myself bloody lucky just to have the twins - don't know how you lot do it but I'm glad I don;t have to!

harrogatemum · 06/11/2006 14:07

ahhh if only - instead its "Big Cook Little Cook" with a "narnie" and DTs still refusing to lie down. Tried doing some colouring in and some running around in back garden but they are not interested........wont get to the REvels until at least 7.30pm, sob.

pmsl at this thread now!

though fg, you forgot to add that I'm also doing a law degree Very niuce ruining of the spirit though

fwiw I've been thru a tough time lately, and I've been so grateful for the chance to moan and to have lovley people on mn listen and support me. Life is great when it is going well, and I wouldn't swap mine for the world, but it doesn't mean I can't have a moan now and then...I say as I write this post for the second time, after running to ds1 who had his head down the toilet and the dts froze up the laptop while I was gone!

Did change my name from Y1 to 2bubmum. Sometimes have a split personality. Anyway do know what baby toddler teenager is like. May not have given birth to my first one but my stepson is now 18. Had him since he was 12mths. He was the reason why i had to start being positive. He was a baby without a mum and His father and i had just started seeing each other. 17 years on he has moved out and now we have more babies to raise. Ladies a whine is a basic human need, but it doesn't mean it benefits you or your family. Sometimes it is nice to be up to your neck in *** and have your kids screaming at you. sit on the floor and shock everybody by saying i love this and would love to give you all a cuddle and a kiss right now. Try it. you will laugh, they will laugh and everything won't seem so bad.

harrogatemum · 06/11/2006 15:58

2bubmum - I love having my twins and all the chaos they bring with them and am daunted but excited by the prospect of no. 3 arriving imminently!

frumpygrumpy · 06/11/2006 16:04

2bub you missed the point.....we do

2bubmum · 06/11/2006 16:08

See i knew if i hang around long enough you would all come around. The best thing i've done is post this thread. I've come aross some lovely women who love being mums and wives, their responsibilities and have found that most don't whine they express.

MarsLady · 06/11/2006 17:13

2bubmum... I think you've confused me. But fret not, that easily happens lol.

So... are you saying we're a moany lot that don't appreciate what we have or that we are the lovely lot who do? (Of course I have no doubts as to my own loveliness... can't vouch for the other twin/triplet mums... esp that FG!)

frumpygrumpy · 06/11/2006 18:06

2bub, like Mars, I'm confused now too.....have we not been preaching from the same hymn book all along .....we can moan and whinge and be loving it. Any which way, love to you and yours .

Mars does the dark side involve chocolate ......

MarsLady · 06/11/2006 18:08

lol! NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well alright then!

TwoIfBySea · 06/11/2006 22:36

FG no congrats needed yet, I have a problem that needs sorted out before I try for the final baby, or two, or three.

In a way I suppose it is true that someone without twins wouldn't know what it was like but you could say that no one knows what it has been like dealing with my twins, and no one can know what it has been like dealing with your twins/triplets etc. That I will never experience just having one baby to deal with. Oh I hope I am making my point clearly as I am very tired and a bit befuddled today!

It is a similar thing to the "walk in my shoes" thing but I am making more of an ar*e in explaining it.

frumpygrumpy · 07/11/2006 10:35

TwoIf, understand totally.
