Hi everyone and Salaams to the sisters out there

Know exactly what you all mean and can totally relate to it!!!

When I announced I was getting married to a white man (am Pakistani myself)my brothers in particular wanted "proof" that he had converted and that it was done for "the right reasons". Only realised a while afterwards that my good Muslim brothers had women of their own on the sly and 1 even had an illegitimate child which no-one knew of!!!

My dh has been learning Salat by himself and we fasted together this year again......no-one at all (even my parents) fasted, no-one has ever learnt the Qu'ran or was taught it but they're quick to shove religion (albeit their warped sense of what Islam is) down your throat when it suits them. Lived in East London for a while but to be honest all the old guys with white beards and topis tutting and shaking their judgemental heads at us got a bit annoying after a while. We now live in a predominantly white area and no-one could care less. InshaAllah had no problems so far. Disappointing that your own kind are the most hypocritical!!!

Someone I know said that when you point the finger at someone, your pointing 3 at yourself.....how very true!!!

Hi Beeny,

That old cliche of the blind date I'm afraid. A mutual friend was convinced we'd get on like a house on fire, lol she was right!!!

Its hard to find a revert/convert muslim women particularly in the UK and if there are they either married or taken. Can anyone help?

Hi!

Yep I'm a Muslim revert, married a convert. It was a "love marriage" neither of our families have been fond of either of us. It's DEFINITELY not been easy, or even at times understanding of each other. Both families (mostly) love both our kids though, alhamdulillah
