more.

DH is claiming income support with 3 child dependants and me, his wife.

We did recieve £190 per fortnight so thats £95 per week,

We got a letter saying his income support was going UP and his first new payment came in today at £290 per fortnight, thats £145 per week.

This is just his income as I get the child tax credits and child benefit into my account and we have had several letters from income support stating his old and new amounts.

Is it wrong? Do we need to contact them?

I think he gets a 'top up' from IB but it seems alot more than the 60.50 everyone was saying they get?

NervousNutty · 21/04/2009 16:29

Isn't IS a different amount for a couple though ??

On that other thread everyone that posted was claiming as a single person.

toomuchforus · 21/04/2009 16:29

OP posts:
toomuchforus · 21/04/2009 16:31

I think a couple get more, just trying to find it now.

NervousNutty · 21/04/2009 16:35

Just found a Word document which says it is £94.95 for a couple aged 18+.

NervousNutty · 21/04/2009 16:36

It says on this PDF too here

misdee · 21/04/2009 16:43

ah right, i forgot as a couple its higher. dh gets incapcity and i get a very low income support.

toomuchforus · 21/04/2009 16:43

Ah, so that was right for our old amount.

not sure, as dh is on disability so ours is higher plus we have an exctra baby.

there is a website, will see if i can find it, which helps you work it all out.

carrielou2007 · 21/04/2009 21:12

Goodness!! You get 1300 a month?? Do you have to pay rent from that?? I'm so stunned!! I wish I could get some help like that!!(single parent, receive no maintence and so have to work full time with a 2 year old)

carrielou2007 · 21/04/2009 21:40

Sorry, that did not come out right, you get what the government say you are entitled to, I didn't mean to have a go at you just because I get hardly anything as I have to work!!
