I’m always surprised when Younique pops up on FB occasionally. Whatever they claim, the Ellie Flynn documentary damaged them in the U.K. plus the decline happening to all MLM anyway. I think the Elle Beau blog was widely read and appreciated and was another persistent anti MLM voice adding to their poor reputation. They must be a shadow of their former scam. They changed the name of their dodgy CSA charity to something that obscured its links to them (Saprea). I know Coty was eager to get shot of them so sold back to the two cultish original owners and since then it’s been going downhill.

On Tiktok there is a US woman saying just last month that she had just left Younique as she was two levels away from the top of the company but still wasn’t making any money and the products were rubbish. The foundation is $40 too!

If you need a Sunday morning diversion then there is a sweaty little Poundland Lawrence of Arabia and his camel doing a live from a beach in Portugal.

I thought she had given up on Younique as the posts had dwindled and there was some brief excitement about a different collagen when her up line jumped ship to another MLM, but then the incentive trip post appeared. It is really sad as I know she doesn’t have much spare money and must have spent a fortune to qualify for anything.

@YouOKHun I haven't seen anything about Younique for while now, I didn't actually realise it was still a thing.
It's was the Elle beau blog that brought me to this thread. I was aware of some MLMs but had no real idea how awful they were until then.

The Elle Beau blog was brilliant and people who found it while they had a tiny niggle of doubt really identified with it. So many people have said it was the thing that made them realise it wasn’t just them struggling. Funnily enough one of the uplines that features in the EBB lived in my village. She had also put MLM behind her and seen it for what it was.

Mr and Mrs Boring Name are confined to LinkedIn with no social media presence for nearly two months as we know. More tellingly they have disappeared from the league tables published by FLP. She is still sharing absolute shite on LinkedIn and she can feck off with this gem about education. Especially when her rise up the pyramid was nothing to do with a talent for scamming entrepreneurship and does not demonstrate that FLP offers an opportunity for everyone. All it shows is that she is happy to turn a blind eye to the way Mr BN operates. She is not in a position to criticise eduction and educators or parents who don’t consider TikTok soundbites to be a reliable source. Imagine her going into schools to “share her journey” to so-called success.

Laughing my head off at Yawn saying MLMs make you resilient, ok love apart from the epic meltdown because you cocked up your flights or is it when you block everyone who calls you out on your bullshit, or maybe you cry bully when you hear something you don't like? Yeah you're very resilient...

I wonder if this is something completely new or she's remembered she did about 3/4 of them a while back before it was quietly dropped as quick as it was launched....

@DeliaDeetzI thought MLM made people paranoid and prickly rather than resilient. I think she has got resilience and false positivity mixed up.

I see Castle is snuggling up to The Nerdy Ninja and talking about some scam or other involving ever more ludicrous income claims. They are a perfect pairing as they have both been bankrolled by parents.

Meanwhile Bruv is taking snappy snaps of Apprentice Bot and they’ve been shopping together. I wonder whose money they’ve been splashing? Perhaps the cash comes out of the pocket of one of her clients who is spending thousands on a promised cure for their psychiatric illness or chronic physical condition? Or perhaps one of those spending thousands to train in “science backed” woo and receive a certificate that Bruv has coloured in having first carefully crossed out the word “Scamversity”? Or perhaps Mrs Senior Castle has given her wallet to him to take out while she stays back at the apartment she’s paying for so she can clean the bog and do the laundry?

Can you imagine the reaction to that?! 😂

@YouOKHun there are nuggets in that piece you posted that are I think are correct about education - however it’s important to also realise that scamming/hustling and pissing off family and friends really isn’t a very satisfying way to earn a living in the long term -

@Crikeyalmighty I agree with you and I am receptive to the basic premise if it is introduced by almost anyone else! However she is positioning NWM as the alternative and essentially giving the well worn MLM exam time script (with a bit of a tweak) so I can’t make any concessions!

The skills that have made them allegedly successful entrepreneurs are not from NWM but from the traditional roles of accountant (him) and Secretary with side hustle who married the boss (her). The rest is just lucky timing, ruthless exploitation of people and misrepresentation of a so-called opportunity. The same nuggets delivered by someone who has the interests of young people at heart and I’m all ears. I think I’m particularly troubled by the Borings at the moment because of the damage I’m watching them do to someone in real time. Mrs BN isn’t quite so concerned about the future of the children of their downline (who has given up her traditional role to “experience the options and possibilities” of NWM with disastrous results).

@YouOKHun oh I totally agree - and I put those who push getting into crypto and don’t bother with ‘a real job’ in the same bracket of risky unreality - although it’s rare they try and recruit ‘friends’ as it’s different model

First name same as the department store House of … but with a Z not an S. Last name same as silent film star Louise ? (Add in an E). His father (first name is the same as the main judge on Britain’s Got Talent) has done very nicely out of a business that had a two word name, first word: a noun to describe purchasing from retail businesses. Second word: when you rub a lamp this is what pops out! Worth googling him at the same time. Dodgy AF.
