If you added up all the money you have in savings/ISAs, current accounts etc. how much money would you have in total?
I have £45,000 and I am 47.

…very little indeed and I know that without checking 🤣
What a strange question 🧐

JeMapellePing · 05/05/2025 16:51

Your pile is bigger than my pile. HTH.

Are you counting mortgage / property assets?

TheodoraCrumpet · 05/05/2025 16:53

Fuck all. I suppose if you count house equity, pensions, forthcoming inheritance (subject to probate) and that sort of thing, there's a good bit more. But currently, liquid assets are a lot less than yours.

RosieLeaLovesTea · 05/05/2025 17:01

I am not counting value of home/mortgage or pension.

OP posts:
Joystir59 · 05/05/2025 17:02

About £20k but I'm mortgage free. I'm 67

EmpressaurusKitty · 05/05/2025 17:03

It is a strange question. Are you trying to get an idea of how well off you are compared to other MNers, OP?

Mmhmmn · 05/05/2025 17:05

I don’t think it’s a strange question at all, different people are curious about different things.

HamieandHave · 05/05/2025 17:07

I have about £450 and half of that is for bills.

Bjorkdidit · 05/05/2025 17:07

Indeed it's a strange question but MN loves to compare random numbers with no context.

DiggyDoodad · 05/05/2025 17:19

I think I probably have about £900k at the moment (including pension fund but not including the house) . I had quite a bit more than that a few weeks ago, before Mr DJ Trump announced his changes to tarriffs! I'm 67.

Aizen · 05/05/2025 17:24

I could say anything, how would anyone know if I'm fibbing or not.

So I have more than enough for my needs and could run away no problem in the morning if I had to and buy a bolthole abroad (preferably). That'll do me!

Violashifts · 05/05/2025 17:25

I am in the red.

K8Davidson · 05/05/2025 17:54

Very little, but I bet that this isn’t the answer you wanted to see!

Mo819 · 05/05/2025 17:57

About 200

Pieceofpurplesky · 05/05/2025 18:32

I can tell you how much I owe! How much debt I have. No savings. 56, shafted by ex husband and work my socks off to make ends meet

2025willbemytime · 05/05/2025 18:34

Why have you posted this in two topics?

None of your business what money I have. HTH.

Livedandlearned · 05/05/2025 18:35

I’ve got £45,001 and I’m 46.

freshprincess · 05/05/2025 18:37

About £30k not including pension or equity in the house.

I also don’t have a job, so probably £0 by the end of the year.

£555,212.68 not including our DB pensions (in payment) of £112,858 p.a. between us, with state pension to come, or property.

MereNoelle · 06/05/2025 18:51

£1.22

WillTheSHTFsoon · 06/05/2025 18:56

Probably about £7'000

I’ve frequently wondered whether this type of thread is some sophisticated method of sorting MN users into categories for onward marketing or the like! ;)

Why do you ask?
