They told us (in the letter) that it would be paid directly into the account our mortgage payment came from. We also only have a mortgage, so I wasn't sure whether we'd only get one payment even though we both got letters.

You're right! I just checked and we had £50 deposited into the account our mortgage comes out. Only one though, so it must be per acc rather than per person.

lemonwrighty · 11/04/2025 14:43

@YouBelongWithMe we had 2 payments of £50 come in, we’ve only got a mortgage through NW

I actually wonder if I'll get a cheque. It's a bank acc with my husband's name on it, so they couldn't send mine there.

TammyJones · 11/04/2025 15:25

We got one each - tax free - mortgage not nationwide.

DH and I have a joint mortgage and we both got a letter. Does that mean we'll both get £50 or only one x £50 as it's only one account?

Me and dh got £50 each - joint account.

Middleagedstriker · 11/04/2025 16:39

£250 in this house as we all have an account!

BarnacleBeasley · 11/04/2025 13:09

Does the other account holder have another Nationwide account? They might have got one in there and the joint one is yours!

No, I'm the one with 2 accounts. One in my name and one joint with my husband.
50 is nice though. I need to be grateful instead of wishing there was another 50 🤣

dementedpixie · 11/04/2025 18:59

@Goody2ShoesAndTheFilthyBeast have you checked your sole account too as it says it would credit a sole account if you have one and a joint account if you don't? The money into the joint account could be for him and the money for you has gone to your sole account

Erm. Turns out I have 2 sole accounts. I forgot I also have a flex account. Blush It was there.

YouBelongWithMe · 17/04/2025 14:48

I got my cheque yesterday! Already cleared into my acc today.

Me, dh and both dds have Nationwide accounts and we all got £50 each.

sleepwouldbenice · 18/04/2025 13:18

I am pleased. I moved our main account there for environmental reasons, but think they are overall a good bank and this is icing on the cake

roses2 · 24/04/2025 16:52

My two kids got their cheque in the post today

Got the message I will be getting £100. NW is the best!

SpottedDonkey · 29/05/2025 12:32

This is excellent news, once again. Me & DP will get £100 each for the third successive year. I’m proud to have been a member for 30+ years.

Nationwide is a very well run business, and an example to the rest of the country of how decent big businesses should operate. Debbie Crosbie is an outstanding CEO, and long may she continue in her role.

SlipperyLizard · 29/05/2025 12:36

My DDs are very excited about this (I’m happy, too, but will have to pay tax on mine which is annoying <tiny violin plays>). I missed out last year due to not having £100 in my savings account so I made sure I met the criteria this year.

Do you get 2 payments if it is a joint account?

worldwidetravel2017 · 16/06/2025 16:50

Fairer share payments soon
