Hes been called in for a disciplinary meeting to explain himself.

I have advised him to co-operate and tell the truth as best as poss. Its several transactions, including cash withdrawals. Although he has never tried to claim them as a business expense to recoup the money from work, and has paid the monies back after use.

However, the policy is no personal expenses!

What are the best options to avoid dismissal? Has anyone witnessed or seen similar scenarios? Advise would be much appreciated. thanks!

😬😬😬😬 WHY did he do it?!

MustBeGinOclock · 25/10/2024 20:12

Theft and sackable. Sorry op. I can imagine the worry and shock.

So, I thought to provide an update...

The whole things has dragged on a few weeks, with an initial "fact finding" session, with manager and HR. Following this it was concluded that a disciplinary hearing was required.

This has recently taken place. And fortunately, due to the honesty, admitting the fault, being fully co-operative and first time offence, the business decided to to issue a written warning.

So he is very very fortunate!

Time to fix up, get back to the drawing board. And address the core financial issues at home.

Thanks for the advice from folks, the prayers and fortune really did come through for us. Hopefully no repeat of such. Like i said, just providing a brief update!

Thank you for the update.

Glad you haven't got this hanging over you for any longer and that the resolution isn't as bad as it could have been.

Onwards and upwards as they say

Really pleased this has had a positive outcome for you- good luck with sorting your finances!

Tillow4ever · 13/11/2024 14:11

Really pleased he was honest about everything and hasn’t been sacked as a result. Hopefully this will be a wake up call to him to address any issues around finance.

loropianalover · 13/11/2024 14:15

Jeez how do people get away with these things 🤣 I need to start being cheekier!

I’m glad he’s still got his job OP and you are going to tackle the finances together. Nothing is worth the stress you’ve been under the past few months waiting for the outcome!

Thanks for taking the time to update! Great news, lucky guy! 😀

A post disciplinary action plan probably needs implementing, to remove temptation, and prevent a relapse.

DustyAmuseAlien · 13/11/2024 19:09

Wow! He is a very lucky guy.
Does he actually have the discipline and maturity to henceforth live entirely within his income and never do anything like this again?
