Yes because it's bloody humid and wet. Depends where you are.

Illbefinejustbloodyfine · 04/05/2024 19:19

Yes weeks ago!

VibeOnWithMyGalPals · 04/05/2024 19:20

I haven’t had the heating on for about a month now, but I was lighting the wood burner in the living room until Thursday night, and decided to stop that as of last night

TheMuskratOfDestiny · 04/05/2024 19:22

Mine went off 1st March. Can't afford it anymore.

FannyCradocksDoughnut · 04/05/2024 19:23

I've lit the log burner tonight 🙂

Peanutsalty · 04/05/2024 19:29

Mines on a thermostat so I don't think about it

CosmosQueen · 04/05/2024 19:45

FannyCradocksDoughnut · 04/05/2024 19:23

I've lit the log burner tonight 🙂

So have I 😊
My heating is programmed to kick in if the temperature drops below 18° by day, 6° at night. I have turned the bedroom radiators off so it’s just the living room one and the heated towel rail in the bathroom.

Showerscreen · 04/05/2024 19:51

Been off for ages
(admittedly we live in a small, modern flat so not that cold)

ewanisdreaming · 04/05/2024 19:53

I've turned the thermostat down from 20 to 18, we're in Scotland though and there's been a couple of mornings over the last week or so that it's clicked on first thing. I usually give it a wee boost too if it's feeling chilly but I'd imagine over the next couple of weeks it won't be on at all as it's to start getting warmer.

BobnLen · 04/05/2024 19:53

Well, after thinking it wouldn't be on tonight it is, it's still not very warm even though it was sunny but it's only beginning of May so I suppose to be expected

merryhouse · 04/05/2024 19:57

Like PPs, we have it on a thermostat

which means the hand towel has been a bit damp the last couple of days ;-)

Sunnnybunny72 · 04/05/2024 20:06

Ours is off but I'm sat under a heated blanket.

VeraForever · 04/05/2024 20:22

Our heating is on 'auto' so it kicks in if the temperature drops.

AdoraBell · 04/05/2024 20:25

Yes, a few weeks ago. Fortunately we’re in a new build with super good insulation. I’m an iceberg whereas DH is a furnace and dog doesn’t like heat. So I always wrap up and use a blanket if I need it.

MiniCooperLover · 04/05/2024 20:27

DH turned ours off yesterday, when I realised I pointed out (a) I wouldn't go crazy after one good day of weather despite it being May and (b) you don't fucking decide it yourself without discussion ... it's back on ...:

ILikePistachios · 04/05/2024 20:28

Turned ours off yesterday

Blondeshavemorefun · 04/05/2024 22:07

It's on thermastat so varies

Was chilly this am so nudged it

But didn't have it on last few days

Sprogonthetyne · 04/05/2024 22:10

We turned off the timer about a month ago, but have turned it of manually for a couple of hour 3/4 times since, if it's been especially cold.

betterangels · 04/05/2024 22:13

Yes, at the beginning of March. I can't afford not to.

Dressinggownlife · 04/05/2024 22:13

Mine is still on. However not today. Thermostat set to 20 so if it’s gets to that will kick in.

buffyslayer · 04/05/2024 22:14

Thermostat so never gets turned off

servedstraight · 04/05/2024 22:15

No. I live in Scotland. I suspect it will be another month or so before it’s off off. It’s not been on as much in the last few months but it is still needed first thing and into the evening.

Nannyfannybanny · 05/05/2024 07:55

NoahVale, surely what is bizarre,is clicking on to a thread you have no interest in! My neighbours have their heating on at 23c in a south facing living room,t shirts all year. I go round in a jumper, makes me feel like I'm going to pass out!! They aren't old,no health issues.

Yes mines off until October at the earliest!

I live in the south west and have a well insulated house so it's fine, if we get chilly in the evening we put the heated blanket on.
