Thanks @xenu1 I will attend bits of it around work. I’ve attended every year and while it’s obviously a US focus it’s still very relevant here.

It does feel like the subject of MLM has no real traction in the UK and it’s not on the radar of any consumer body or authority, even though they all agree it’s a problem and the definition of an illegal pyramid scheme as defined in [rather old] UK legislation describes MLM exactly! We don’t make any demands on MLMs, not even flawed income disclosures. It takes an organisation like TiA in the US to shine a light on MLM companies in the UK and the people they enable, like Yawn. Frustrating.

”Trolling” otherwise known as asking awkward questions and “bullying” otherwise known as repeating the question she can’t or won’t answer (but should be able to respond to if everything is above board).

It looks like she’s gone straight to Yawn for instruction about how to duck questions about false claims. Just imagine if your local pharmacy made a load of false claims about a product displayed in their window or if the lottery made promises about guaranteed money from being involved - how long would they get away with miss-selling and misrepresentation that can be demonstrated as misleading and proven to be damaging? Not as long as MLM like FLP, that’s for sure.

I suppose Headband could be classed as a victim in that she’s properly drunk the Kool-aid and fallen into the toxic positivity trap set by HQ and its disciples. Though she seems to have been doing it long enough to have at least some sneaking suspicion it’s not all it’s cracked up to be surely? A slight unease that she is being economical with the truth? Shame she’s set on spreading the poison, looks like she’s already mutated into a perpetrator, in which case she’s fair game.

@Spongebobette particularly a story as that has no opportunity for any “troll” to publicly respond. Headband is very cross but being a hashtag positive bizniz mum means she has to smile through the seething.

She should reflect on why it so upsets her and her upline to be asked to back up their claims. What will she do if the Advertising Standards Authority start “trolling” her as well? And more to the point, what will she do when FLP blame her for the claims? She will soon find out just how supportive Yawn and FLP are then.

Isn’t there a rule in FL that you can’t be a member of two MLM businesses? Trouble ahead for Yawn and her new recruit.
In other news, Yawns new “up north” recruit is a true scam artist/life coach who appears to be a recovering alcoholic and has probably been recruited via Yawn’s TicTok activity. She has an interesting job history and currently coaches people to live life again without alcohol.
Her website is interesting, in her about me she side steps listing her qualifications probably because they are from the usual scam sources or perhaps non-existent. I suspect she is another Castle type character.
Again I’m not sure whether she is joining in order to use Yawn’s vast network to recruit for her own business or whether she’s daft.
