MLM Bot Watch 76: Commercial cults manifesting disaster for their recruits

Just thought I’d start this thread. If someone else has done so simultaneously let me know!

Been looking at the ts&cs of chairman’s bonus. For Yawn to have been given enough spending money to cover extra airfare and accommodation she would have needed to qualify as 5k. I haven’t seen any reference to her attending the 5k “bit of a do”. I suspect she was a level 1 qualifier with 1.5k. Her cheque was probably less than 10k which although a tidy sum, no where near enough for her to get her out of the financial hole she is in. She has nothing left to borrow money against in order to flip her directors loan this year. Unless Mr Yawn has landed a very well paid j.o.b. I suspect this will be Yawn’s anus horibilus.

Yawn qualified at level 1, 2.5K CC.
The qualifier levels and CCs were all posted on (soon to be ex-) Mr FLP UK's 'fan page' on 8 February.

Ah, so she would have had around £1k to spend while at the rally. Not sure that would have covered everything she claims it did. As always stretching the truth.

Not sure if it's an update or a glitch but one of my friends just posted on Facebook that when you go onto someone profile to have a look, it automatically sends them a friend request!

I doubt it’s an update or a glitch. It sounds like a symptom of Friday afternoon boredom or a hoax. 😉

Maybe but a few people have commented on the post to say it has happened to them as well. Was just thinking of anyone on this thread who doesn't have an alternative profile for looking at the facebook of any of the bots mentioned here.

It's definitely a thing as happened to me recently with a bot. Poor form on fb part

its depressing that there are still people out there who haven’t heard of MLMs

After the FB friend request thing, I have just looked at mine and I had apparently sent friend requests for people I have never met and who had no mutual friends! I have deleted them all ( 7 in total ) FB shouldn’t be allowed to do that!

Yawn is numero uno in her area!! For what little gain though? It's only ever small gains. I'm permanently perplexed by this nonsense

The bookings for her holiday home aren't exactly flooding in either! I bet the times it's showing as "booked" (school holidays) is when Uber's using it.

Also you can't book for next year at all so I'm guessing it'll be on the market later this year

@NormalForNuneaton Uber couldn’t have launched Pipe-Dream-by-the-Sea at a worse time could she?

inflated prices for the above - over
good time to sell a holiday home - no (see above)
attractiveness of holiday home with no outside space or parking - not much
Households having the money to pay for any kind of holiday - not many
Households willing to pay a premium for two weeks of uncertain weather - very few
free maintenance man/marriage - over
divorce expense - probably not over
Forever Living cheques coming in - as good as over

She may have wisely diversified from FLP and certainly has a cushion of cash and that rare bot thing, a pension, but I wonder how wise her diversification has been? There’s no doubt her expenses are high. Not a very relaxing time for her.

According to the law of attraction Uber only has herself to blame. Perhaps there’s something in it after all!

I’m grateful that FB didn’t automatically send friend requests to bots, or anyone else I may have been keeping an eye on! I read somewhere that the glitch affected Android phones rather than others. The only time I’ve come close to befriending a bot was when I liked a post and that was due to pig tit fingers and tiredness. I’ve never unliked anything so quickly in my life! 🤣

I've accidentally liked one of Yawn's posts before now and she instantly responded ....eeek!

Also friend requested Roomie by accident and she also responded quickly, when I made my excuses about mistaken identity, thinking she was someone I knew etc she suggested we "stay connected" anyway!!

Flamingo Papiere has gone tits up, just as its former incarnation did (Phoenix Trading). They sent out a message yesterday to their customers (same time as they told their reps I think) urging people to continue to buy from their reps who hold their own stock (I bet they do!). In the same message the announce a massive closing down half price sale, so no need to buy from those Flamingo bots!

Who can forget TLC’s Radio 4 Woman’s Hour interview where a Flamingo rep came on to defend MLM and said that by working away whenever she could she was likely to have got out of debt to FP and could start making a profit after 6 months…six months!!

@HouseofHolbein it looks very lame doesn’t it? Generally FLP likes close up photos these days so it can create the impression of its events being well attended. I’m in Oxford today, so not a million miles away and it’s been absolutely freezing for the time of year (10°c) here - not the day to spend wondering around a bit of grass/tent/small section of HQ, being battered into spending more money.

The attendees had the chance to meet the new Country Manager and his wife today. I wonder if they are regretting signing up to be part of the slow demise of FLP in the UK?

@HouseofHolbein It looks really dull and poorly attended, doesn't it. Many tight shots from different angles to give the impression there's lots going on, but only ever a handful of people in each shot, often the same as in others.
An absolute washout that will convince more people to leave than to join.
