We always paid a minimum of 30%

BlackLambAndGreyFalcon · 25/09/2022 19:48

15% jointly.

Pinetreesfall · 25/09/2022 19:49

60%. Not sure what else I can do!

GuyFawkesDay · 25/09/2022 19:50

15% of joint, including an overpayment.

goingback · 25/09/2022 19:57

dontcallitsavvyb · 25/09/2022 20:20

Just under 3%( but I have an interest only mortgage)

Just curious about the interest only mortgage, is your plan to sell the house at some point to pay off the principal?

My DH and I often switched to interest only and then back to repayment or part and part over the years. It worked well for us.

Squirrelsnut · 25/09/2022 20:51

30% me only, about 19% joint.

Forevermermaid · 25/09/2022 21:20

30%

Buying ex H out of house - four more days and it will just be me and the DC. Scary but I know I can do it!

catscutewhiskers · 25/09/2022 21:22

38%. 1 wage. Thankfully locked into a low rate for a while yet

Moon5 · 25/09/2022 21:25

Just me - 51%
Jointly - 19%

Squeezedsquash · 25/09/2022 21:30

20% of joint income but we overpay so it’s more like 30%

PeloFondo · 25/09/2022 21:37

Between 22 and 29% (I get commission so my wage varies)

Bottomofthepileasusual · 25/09/2022 21:43

I pay half my income into joint account to cover mortgage & bills

SuperlativeOxymoron · 25/09/2022 21:47

70% of my wage.
20% of total household income.

ConfusedGin · 25/09/2022 21:48

I was starting to panic reading this earlier but I see more single income households around a third like me. As another poster, it's actually manageable within my lifestyle - no childcare, car and low bills on top of the mortgage etc definitely help with that I'm sure.

villamariavintrapp · 25/09/2022 21:49

110% of mine, which is around 35% of our joint income.😬

TrufflesForBreakfast · 25/09/2022 21:50

0.13% Grin

Margo34 · 25/09/2022 21:58

15% of household income.

cestlavielife · 25/09/2022 22:00

It will deoend on figures?
25% of 10k a month is different to 25% of 2k a month
Ones leaves 7. 5k to spend the other much much less

jocktamsonsbairn · 25/09/2022 22:03

20% single parent.

MsJuniper · 25/09/2022 22:18

90% of my salary, 30% of our joint salaries. 2 years left on current mortgage fix so I'm really hoping things look brighter by then.

jelly79 · 25/09/2022 22:19

Single home owner 23%

Scottishskifun · 25/09/2022 22:24

It's around 15% of income but we have a low mortgage for our house and are locked in on a fix for another 15 months our nursery fees on the otherhand are 35%!
