About 25% jointly.

Nellodee · 25/09/2022 18:58

Under 10%

Dragonskin · 25/09/2022 18:59

19% jointly, soon to go up to approx 25% when our deal ends 😢

Lostmyway86 · 25/09/2022 19:02

52% alone, 25% jointly

Pearlyqueen21 · 25/09/2022 19:03

Currently 12% of my take home for 1/2 the mortgage. From November it will go down to 4% because we’re paying off a big chunk in order to protect our monthly finances.

WoooahNelly · 25/09/2022 19:04

Just me 42% 😯

TheClitterati · 25/09/2022 19:06

About a third. I pay it on my own.

twofluffycats · 25/09/2022 19:09

53% currently and I'm really really struggling financially. I’m a single parent working three professional jobs. It's a position I never thought I'd be in!

Maymaymay · 25/09/2022 19:12

27 % as a couple

Sd352 · 25/09/2022 19:14

About 12% of joint net income. Not sure as percentage of gross.

CakeCrumbs44 · 25/09/2022 19:14

About 25%, but we make overpayments which bring it up to about 30%

Bpdqueen · 25/09/2022 19:16

50%

MintJulia · 25/09/2022 19:18

17%

MotherOfPuffling · 25/09/2022 19:18

Was 50%. Now 60% since rate hike. 23 years left to pay so will hopefully get more affordable. (Was 35% was took mortgage out but then Covid messed things up financially).

Marshmallowmountain · 25/09/2022 19:20

Just under 30% but a) we’re paying it off aggressively and b) we have a high enough income that it doesn’t impact our standard of living

GiltEdges · 25/09/2022 19:21

Jointly - 7%
Just me - 23%

SatInTheCorner · 25/09/2022 19:24

Single with 2 children in London. 18%.

Was about 20% now we've moved and it's 30%. I'm hoping to get a new job soon which would take it down to 20%.

DomPom47 · 25/09/2022 19:27

Around a 3rd, too much.

smooththecat · 25/09/2022 19:27

I’m kind of relieved that some people are above me on 29%. I should have said that 29% feels perfectly manageable, I did worry that people posting before me had much lower percentages. I don’t have any other massive life expenditure, e.g blingy car, that lots of people seem to have.

DowntonCrabby · 25/09/2022 19:27

About 12%

Bunnynames101 · 25/09/2022 19:38

Roughly 35%. But I'm a low earner and I'm relatively new to home ownership so got lots to pay off and I am not sharing the costs with anyone.

RoachTheHorse · 25/09/2022 19:40

Of mine - 100%

Of our joint - around 20%

We just remortgaged and borrowed money to fix some issues so praying in 5 years interest rates have settled and aren't super high!

xyzandabc · 25/09/2022 19:42

Over 100% of my take home. When we took it out, it was 23% of joint take home pay. Change in circumstances and it's now around 40%. Really hoping circumstances change again in the next year or two!
