Eagerly awaiting the start of term at Scamversity - eek!

@AceSpades54321 the Botwatch threads are a very long running series of discussions about multilevel marketing companies who act as if and appear to be product selling companies (direct selling) but really are recruitment devices hiding behind product selling, with their main activity focussed on recruitment of fresh blood who then purchase as a way of achieving progress. So these companies essentially operate as pyramid schemes.

We discuss their underhand tactics and blatant lies and the conduct of their more senior and long term distributors (uplines) and the tactics they use and the lies they tell to the people who are duped into joining. Once you start monitoring key players in MLM you realise how it corrupts some people and ruins others.

But that’s not what your T&Cs say. Your T&Cs state that you sign up as a business and normal consumer protections therefore don’t apply. Shouldn’t you be warning potential sign ups who are clearly telling you they are not a business and are an individual consumer?

Also reads like a mission statement for a modern day Robin Hood ( redistribution of wealth). I hope the mugs who have signed up realise that the only wealth that they intend to redistribute is their own into C&Fs’ bank accounts.

The Facebook algorithm has just come up trumps and directed me to the Scamversity Campus group (private). There are 318 members. So much for 3000 students signing up.

311 have joined this week. Maybe after a long cooling off period and a week of coaching by the stellar coaching team a large number of the original sign ups have unsubscribed. I do hope so, with the uncertainty about fuel prices over the winter £39 pm is a lot of money to listen to MLM drivel.

Interesting Angrymum22. I doubt many people subscribed in the first place. Castle and Fierce are probably lying about the numbers or, as they would put it, faking it ‘til they make it.

I wonder if there’s a lecture series as part of the Scamversity modules exploring ways to fake it ‘til you make it, and what to do when this doesn’t work or you get found out for lying? Of course we all know that the answer to the latter is to blame it on bullies, trolls, jealous haters etc.
