How much disposable income do you have after all of you mortgage/rent, bills and living expenses have been paid?

Probably about £1200, but, it's just me, no one else to pay for, no childcare, etc.

butterflied · 16/07/2022 21:40

Not much.

PiffleWiffleWoozle · 16/07/2022 21:42

Ha ha ha. Not much and getting smaller.

Hugglethatmuggle · 16/07/2022 21:44

None currently.

Muffinsong · 16/07/2022 21:47

About £2.5K after bills and food etc

BarbaraofSeville · 16/07/2022 21:57

No idea, what about you?

Sanfranciscobabe · 16/07/2022 22:00

Depends if you count savings, i transfer them out by standing order so doesn’t feel ‘disposable’ even though technically it is

User6286509 · 16/07/2022 22:00

About £2k, we are retired though so no mortgage or DC to pay for

RosieLeaLovesTea · 16/07/2022 22:06

I would include savings and all - so what you completely left with.

@User6286509 wow I can only dream about being mortgage free with DCs all grown up. We have a long way to go.

No idea. I get to the end of the year and hopefully find myself with slightly more savings.

This year I've paid for a new roof. Last year a new (second hand) car.

I've no more big purchases planned but who knows!

countdowntonap · 16/07/2022 22:17

If we didn’t save anything, about £5000

GCHeretic · 16/07/2022 22:18

How about you share how much you have?

I think it’ll piss some people off if everyone answers honestly, there are going to be some very different amounts.

declutteringmymind · 16/07/2022 22:20

About £300 and not been saving for a while. All surplus will be on days out in the month of august.

HinchcliffeandMurgatroyd · 16/07/2022 22:20

Not sure. It’s shrinking all the time. I don’t want to think about it too much until prices have topped out.

Narwhalelife · 16/07/2022 22:20

On paper about £500 but never ever seems like it 😵‍💫 there is always some drama/unexpected expense

Carrieonmywaywardsun · 16/07/2022 22:26

About £3000, depends on what we put into savings and other pots

RosieLeaLovesTea · 16/07/2022 22:34

Mine varies a bit because I am employed but also have self employed income.

I use an app to track my income, bills. Expenses, and spending.

june - I had £650 left
May - I was minus about £750 as I part paid for a holiday and mortgage
Application fee
April - I had £302 left
March - I had about £2000 left but that was due to some self employed income coming in.
February - I had £557 Left
January - I had £900 left

Loads. Why?

FilePhoto · 16/07/2022 22:40

Nothing. I have nothing before all bills and living expenses are paid.

pogostickplastique · 16/07/2022 22:40

What's that? 🤦🏼‍♀️

DarkFuckeryoftheHumanHeart · 16/07/2022 22:40

About £200! I know circumstances differ, hard work etc etc but staggered by £5000 disposable a month- that would be lovely Grin

BasinHaircut · 16/07/2022 22:40

Personally or household?

between DH and I combined, about £3.5k before savings and groceries.

personally, we both give ourselves £500 ‘spending money’ and £1k is savings.

I know we are in a very fortunate position though - it hasn’t always been like this.

MrsWolfyWoo · 16/07/2022 22:42

Probably about £500 a month . £100 a week and one dress and a lipstick a month.

LoisPlane · 16/07/2022 22:53

About £1500.

opalescent · 16/07/2022 22:54

About £2000 between dh and I. No idea where it all goes 🤯
