just curious...

I'd buy a house for my brother and his fiancé as they aren't on the property ladder yet.

Theforest · 29/03/2022 17:36

Just the right amount to move up the ladder mortgage free.

Wouldntitbenicetobeinyourshoes · 29/03/2022 17:37

Pay off my mortgage, get the driveway fixed and have some serious therapy.

Comedycook · 29/03/2022 17:37

Refurb my house and pay off mortgage

onemouseplace · 29/03/2022 17:40

Add it to the moving fund and move to a house I really want rather than a cheaper compromise.

Asongfromthedarkesthour · 29/03/2022 18:03

Pay off debts then move to a bigger house.

cloudyrain · 29/03/2022 18:07

I'd like to retire, that would be a perfect amount to top up my pension fund.
However also have 2 DC that will need help getting on the property ladder so the unselfish answer is to continue to work for 5 years and help them out

NearlyHeadlessNick · 29/03/2022 18:08

Pay half of it off the mortgage
Keep some for works to the house that need doing
Buy a caravan

DamnUserName21 · 29/03/2022 19:44

House, private school for dd

DontKeepTheFaith · 29/03/2022 19:47

I think I’d upgrade my kitchen and bathroom, decorate the whole house to a higher standard than we could currently afford with fitted wardrobes in the bedrooms and have some lovely holidays.

We paid off our mortgage and cutting my hours at work is not an option currently.

Auntieobem · 29/03/2022 19:49

Pay off the mortgage, some landscaping work in garden, some decorating and a holiday.

JustBkind · 29/03/2022 19:50

Pay some of the mortgage, redecorate throughout, new bathroom and kitchen. Holidays. Increase kids bank accounts. Make some charitable donations. Rest in bank for future.

cherrypiepie · 29/03/2022 20:13

Pay off mortgage, do garden and get kitchen redone. New front door Nice holiday and a few meals out treating family and buy a few nice bits I want but don't need (new hoover/laptop/phone etc) get a nicer car when this one finishes.

Save or invest the rest (60k) for retirement

flashpaper · 29/03/2022 20:16

Pay off the mortgage, new kitchen and bathroom, maybe landscape the garden. Everything left would be put into savings.

Nidan2Sandan · 29/03/2022 20:17

Whack it all on my mortgage!

Perfectlystill · 29/03/2022 20:20

I'd have one good holiday and put the rest in my pension.

ChickinMarango · 29/03/2022 20:23

120k left on mortgage so pay that off, 15k on a new car then probably be selfish and use the rest to have a few splurges on holidays etc!

EmmaC78 · 29/03/2022 20:26

Pay off the mortgage and use the rest to get a new car.

Imanidiotiknow · 29/03/2022 20:27

Pay off debt, sort our parents out, deposit on a house

PrescriptionOnlyMedicine · 29/03/2022 20:28

Spruce up the house, new car and probably a really nice holiday

OutTheOtherSideAndBeyond · 29/03/2022 20:28

Pay off a chunk of my mortgage. New kitchen, holiday, stress less about funding uni.

DialsMavis · 29/03/2022 20:30

New kitchen extension, pay off some mortgage, have some savings, new car, rescue some more animals

SugarMiceInTheRain · 29/03/2022 20:31

Redo kitchen and fix a few bits on the house, possibly replace the older car, then put the rest towards paying off the mortgage.

cptartapp · 29/03/2022 20:32

Only four years to retirement, so I'd retire tomorrow and live off it in the meantime.

Rinatinabina · 29/03/2022 20:32
