Matched betting

cafedesreves · 10/01/2022 20:04

I'm keen to renovate our kitchen and hear that matched betting can be a good way of raising extra cash.
Can I ask how much you actually can make from it? I've got an hour to and from work to do it on my phone... Is this realistic?!
Thanks!

Thanks for answering and the further advice. I dipped my toe into extra places but didn't really get on with them. I never covered the whole field and invariably missed the lucrative extra place with the ones I did back and lay.

I also did just each way no lay for a while, but with low stakes. I still do those on 365, even though I am stake restricted and for making up the bet value required for the places I am not yet gubbed or restricted on. I'm a bit worried about going after the boosts as I worry they'll flag me up as a matched bettor. I've still got loads of bookies I haven't signed up to yet, perhaps my next big push should be to get onto those. No multi accounting here yet.[/quote]
I think you still have lots of money making potential. Good luck with it!

@User2638483

The cash back for signing up to Casino offers were also lucrative the second time round. But as I’ve said upthread, there is money to be made on casino offers but be aware they are trying to reel you in so be extremely picky about which ones you do and stop when it’s time to stop.
For casino offers I recommend never going alone but signing up to team casino or bonus accumulator and following the guides to the letter.

Will do - thanks for answering.

GrandmasCat · 16/01/2022 15:13

@Ilovetea69 thank you 🙂

sleepykits · 16/01/2022 19:38

I've made my first foray into this tonight using WH opening offer... I wish I'd read about it before I spent my £10 stake Hmm but I'm happy that I sort of know what I'm doing now!

thefavourite · 19/01/2022 00:18

This thread and the experienced posters has given me the push to get back into MB this week, thank you. I've made a couple of stupid mistakes, but am back into it and have made a small profit just in the last few days and now have lots of fingers in lots of bookie offer pies!

Stiffcondomhat · 19/01/2022 07:57

That's great @thefavourite :) stupid mistakes knock your confidence but the best thing to do is challenge yourself to make it back ASAP. I've made so many stupid mistakes but they have all been valuable teaching moments.

ilovetea69 · 19/01/2022 10:01

I've been doing this over 3 years and still make mistakes! You'll make any money you've lost back so just keep going 😀

cafedesreves · 19/01/2022 10:32

Im finding it takes a long time to actually extract my money from the bookies. It seems to take days and require endless verification etc!
And William Hill have just frozen my account and are impossible to contact!! But otherwise good.

Yey! I've done my first one correctly! £20 up. Think I'll make a spreadsheet so I can keep track though?

NancyDrawed · 23/01/2022 09:45

Spreadsheet is definitely a good idea.

cafedesreves I haven't joined a new bookie for ages, but I think I used to provide the verification documents at the time I joined. I haven't ever had an issue withdrawing funds. Isn't it odd that they're happy to take your money without verifying who you are, but releasing it suddenly means they need to check!

I’ve just made my first foray today using PA guidance tutorials - back on coral and lay on smarkets. I’m enjoying PA as it’s clear (although I have had to watch the bit about odds about twenty times). It’s also very tempting to not lay on the small bets placed to then earn the larger bets (which I would always lay) - is it still cost effective to always match the smaller bets as if it’s a £5 bet it seems your liability is about half that anyway (if I understand correctly!)

Does anyone have recommendations for Facebook pages to follow or the best calculator to use if I didn’t want to pay for one (but happy to pay if it will be covered by the benefit of extra wins for a better service!)

Thanks for all the help from experienced MBs on here Smile

thefavourite · 25/01/2022 22:04

Hey @Lemming20, congratulations on making your first bet! A couple of the things you say are a wee bit worrying though and I think you may need to have a reread through:-

  • You must ALWAYS lay your trigger bets, otherwise you are losing money! Yes the qualifying loss (hopefully small) each time is annoying, but you get that back and much more from the free bet. This is the only way to ensure you consistently make money.
  • Your liability is different from your qualifying loss. Liability is the amount you 'win' or 'lose' with your lay bet (but if your liability is lost then your bookie bet will have won). I think you are mixing up the terms?

What are you using as a guide? You may want to sign up for OddsMonkey or ProfitAccumulator and work your way through their welcome offer guides. They also have odds matching tools, which are excellent. These are subscription based so you will have to pay an annual or monthly fee for their services.

Calculator wise, I always use this one - basic & advanced (for over/underlaying). There's a fractional/decimal odds convertor on it too - www.teamprofit.com/calculator

Lemming20 · 25/01/2022 23:01

Thank you so much @thefavourite! You are absolutely correct - I was mixing terms. I was thinking qualifying loss rather than liability. And yes the temptation is to take the qualifying bet risk but you are also right in that I would lose money long term so thank you. I’m using PA at the moment - team profit looks good though, is that free? Thank you again for the help, so much to learn Smile

Lemming20 · 29/01/2022 20:46

I’ve just signed up to topcashback (SO far behind the times!) and got £17 for doing an intro bet with Paddy Power. Looks like big cash bonuses for William Hill and a few others which may be useful :) I’ll pop my referral code for £10 extra cash back on the promo codes section if anyone else, like me, hadn’t joined!

I have been playing more and more on online casinos lately to earn extra money. For that I have found a good website sunplay.casino/en here in Brasil. I have won a lot of money on poker and slots online. But they have a good selection of almost all casino games.
