Yes, Uber has a reputation as one of the most egregious FL bots in terms of funnelling recruits and CCs to achieve chairman's Bonus. All well and good for her when the overall business is actually growing, although all money made is still that siphoned out of the lower bots' pockets.
Two problems though- it is an expensive operation, the products purchased through judiciously chosen downlines are the ones that end up mouldering in garages awaiting purchase on eBay or FB marketplace (and never find a buyer), so never actually get 'retailed'- they are literally bought to achieve the bonus and then chucked out. That takes a serious chunk out of the top bot's 'income' as well as their headline cheque.
Secondly, when things get tight overall, the opportunities for doing this remain just as expensive, even as there are fewer bots to do this through and less money to fund it.
@BotOff is quite right, it is a sign of shrinking new blood that has forced Uber to revert to Yawn as one of her funnels. Uber's seriously diminished cheque came at the expense of buying Yawn's and is probably much, much less if you look at what it cost...
