I saw this in another thread and became curios.

What is it?
Is it legal?
How do you do it?

I don't trust google when it's stuff like this

OP posts:
Furries · 03/04/2021 03:30

With regards to “is it legal?’ Yes, it is. On the other hand, don’t do anything to let a betting company know what you’re doing! (Ie don’t have your email address as [email protected] !

Gambling earnings are tax free.

Check out, multiplied by 100, the info on Team Profit site. Read, watch, read, watch again. Ask questions before doing anything, I promise, you will eventually understand what you are doing!

I started off doing matched betting and made about £500 of very easy money but stopped when the offers I was working through became more complicated.
I then started doing low risk casino through Team Casino and have made a steady £250-£300 a month through that. I prefer it to matched betting as it is mostly very straightforward and I find it more enjoyable. They offer various techniques to make it less likely to get addicted but I definitely wouldn't reccomend it to anyone with an addictive personality.

savvy7 · 03/04/2021 08:58

Just to add to the above ... I used Team Profit - free of charge - for the first few months and have only just taken out Oddsmonkey which is a paid subscription.

Team Profit is a great place to start and they have a live chat facility if you are in doubt. Football is also a good sport to start with.

What kind of casino are you doing? Are you just doing the deposit X and get 10 free spins etc. I signed up to Team Casino a few weeks ago again and am struggling with the reloads, seem to be losing rather than making money. Are you using particular casino sites?
pisspants · 03/04/2021 19:19

hi @EmmaC78 I just follow the Team Casino guides and do the reloads most days that have over £1 EV. Are you on the Team Casino facebook group? That is great for checking out things if you are not sure how to do an offer. It does take a bit of getting used to and you won't always make a profit on each offer but on average your results should be very similar to the EV especially if you stick to it long term.

Hallyup5 · 04/04/2021 16:10

It's real, legit and it works in the short term. You can make a few hundred easily. Unfortunately it doesn't last forever. There are people online who claim to have made thousands. They're mostly people who multi-account (that's illegal). Your accounts will get shut down eventually and the easy offers will stop coming. You'll be encouraged to start doing casino offers which can be a slippery slope. Read into it and make your own decisions.

Yes, I joined Team Casino and am on the FB group I did three offers today and won about £3 on the first two and then lost £9 on the third so it just seems a lot of hassle for no guaranteed profit. It makes me cautious to do any more today but maybe I do need to tick with it for a bit longer.

None of the profit I made was on the free spins, it was just from the wagering.

pisspants · 04/04/2021 20:46

@EmmaC78 I try to do around £10 of EV each day. Tend to get more steady results with the blackjack and roulette offers but hit much bigger wins on the slot/free spin offers. Sometimes on the wagering and sometimes on the free spins/bonuses. Although you cannot plan what you will make monthly from it I built up from my matched betting £500 to £1000 and use that as my float which I withdraw back to each month.
Have you read the guides n Team Casino about mindset as that really helps? I know it must be hard to keep going if not seeing good gains from the start.

LeSquigh · 04/04/2021 22:18

@Pamelaaaaa You should be making £6-8 on a £10 bet, not £1!

Yes, think I need to get in to the right mindset instead of focusing on the losses. Did my first virtual sports bet tonight - made £16 and it took 2 minutes so I might start trying a few more of those.

titchy · 04/04/2021 22:51

The thing with casino is that as long as you do +EV offers, and enough of them, you will make profit in the long run. But, and it's a big but, the key is doing volume. And trusting the stats - which means holding your nerve. Which is tough mentally. Have a quit point and stick to it. Rigidly.

I signed up Autumn 2019. Ive had around 9 months off in total since then. When I am doing it, I’m not “on it” every single day, a few offers here and there. I’ve made over £7k tax free with one set of accounts and doing pretty simple stuff.

I’d say £4.5k casino and the rest MB. On casino, I bust out of 95% of my welcome offers, no huge sums there.

If anyone wants to do casino, it is definitely worth it - others, who put in much more effort, have done way better than me. But don’t do it blind, highly recommend joining Team Casino, the subscription is definitely worth it.

Furries · 05/04/2021 00:03

I second this!

@Pamelaaaaa - what are you doing to get only £1 profit from a £10 free bet???? You should be getting around £7.50 profit each time if you’re being sensible and not over the top with stupidly high odds.

drinkplease · 05/04/2021 00:12

I've never had multiple accounts but have been doing it for about 5 years, I started with a tenner and have made nearly 70k since then. Best result was a World Cup match when a 2up came in and it made 000s i still have quite a few of the main bookie accounts and obviously do all the new sign ups. Offers are smaller but they are still there- the Saints Burnley game made me over 400 earlier on a 2up

Bobbleka · 05/04/2021 00:23

I started matched betting in November and have made just under £5k without devoting loads of time to it, but that does include Cheltenham week which had a lot of offers.

Yes it’s legit
It’s tax free
It seems insanely complicated at first but the free walk throughs in team profit will get you going - it clicks and then it will all make sense
It gets boring very quickly after the sign ups, you make very small amounts of guaranteed profit - you’ll think, is it worth it? But it is, as they all add up very quickly.

It allowed me to have a financially stress free Xmas which was amazing.

I look at it that my money is actually working for me matched betting, a far greater return than a savings account.

It does sound too good to be true, people often think it’s a scam or dodgy but it isn’t. Wish I started a few years ago when I’d first heard of it!

catsandsprogs · 05/04/2021 00:39

For those of you continuing to do it after the introductory offers, are you relying on offers sent through from the bookies?(I'm to scared to try casino 😂)

Was that a Japan match? I’ve seen people discussing the holy grail World Cup match before. Gutted I didn’t start my journey much earlier!

Don’t get many offers directly from bookies. I rely on the Team Profit website reloads page. My main MB stuff now are the racing offers (money back if 2nd etc), and attempts at 2ups. I’ve not touched extra places yet.

Definitely give casino a go, but only by signing up to Team Casino - that way, you will know that each offer you are doing is +EV (too many casino offers have shite terms and conditions etc). I didn’t start casino until my MB pot was £1k profit. I then “ringfenced” £500 to put into casino.

Given I started the whole journey with £100, ive now looked at my combined pot as money to play with. Casino can be tough, but it’s a mindset thing - and it’s not about each individual offer, it’s about completing “good” offers multiple times. Team Casino have a £1 trial for 10 days, definitely worth doing. And it’s about £18 a month subscription, which I’ve always been able to cover. Plus, their Facebook group is really friendly and helpful.

My best advice to new people has always bern don’t do casino offers blind. Either set aside your limit and follow the guides, or accept it isn’t for you. No middle ground, casinos are too easy to lose money to if you don’t fully understand the mechanics and terms of each offer.

catsandsprogs · 05/04/2021 01:09

Thankyou Furries x

AgnesWaterhouse1566 · 05/04/2021 13:39

I mainly do casino now and I would say you really have to take all emotion out of it. I had a good Feb/March but I'm currently sitting £400 down in April. It will come back so not too worried (and I'm 25k up overall) but it's difficult not to take it personally when you're on a downswing!

catsandsprogs · 06/04/2021 11:13

I think I might spend quite abit of time reading up on casino to make sure I really understand it and take it from there

Furries · 09/04/2021 02:24

@catsandsprogs - you’re welcome. Reading up is definitely a good idea.

Again, I would highly recommend subscribing to Team Casino, it’s a £1 trial for, I think, 10 days. Then the monthly subscription is around £18. Personally, I would do the trial and then pay 1 month subscription - if you didn’t cover that cost by the end of the month, I’d be really surprised. Doing it thst way gives you much more time to access/read all their great guides.

Be aware, a lot of the Welcome Offers they list have great EV, but the bust our rates are high. I only ever successfully completed 2 welcome offers - others have had better variance (or luck as we’d maybe call it). Despite this, doing the reload offers, I’m almost at £5k profit from dabbling now and then.

Best advice is - don’t think you can cheat the system or that you know best. Casino offers can be awful with their terms, but by following the guides on TC then you won’t be caught out with awful t&cs. You WILL lose money on some offers, but it should even out over time.

safariboot · 09/04/2021 02:54

I had a decent 2020 but it's really dwindled for me since. I'll see if I can make £100 this month. It definitely seems like a lot of the good offers are going, and the new offers are often very hard to guarantee profit out of. I guess the bookies have wised up.

As for how it works.

You know of course that normally with betting the odds favour the bookie, so you'd lose in the long run.

But if the bookie's doing a promotion, the odds can favour you. But that would still be a gamble.

Enter the betting exchanges, where you can take the 'other side' of a bet, known as laying. This enables you to cancel out the risk and guarantee a profit.

It's legal because at the bookmaker you're just betting when they've got a special offer on, and at the exchange you're just laying bets like anyone else laying bets.

savvy7 · 09/04/2021 06:51

I thought matchedbetting was drying up.for me as I had relied on welcome and reload offers and had been dubbed from various bookies ... Until I took out a free trial of oddsmonkey. I now make most.money from the difference in odds and because I'm not relying on the offers the bookies like that.

magicstar1 · 17/04/2021 02:27

I’m about to start matched betting, and I’m watching the Team Profit video guides etc. Am I right that to start you only need a small amount if money? If I start with more money, do I make more profit? I thought the first profit comes from free bets.
