Controversial post but it’s my truth and I feel it needs to be said...
I’m noticing a lot of influential coaches and women online speaking about wealth creation in such a worrying way.
Maybe you’ve been told in the past that wealthy people know something you don’t.
Or that they simply think differently, act more bravely or take more risk.
Whilst of course this can be true, it’s massively incomplete.
Many wealthy people are there because they inherited wealth or because they have exploited people.
Or because of white privilege.
Because of male privilege.
Because of English-speaking privilege.
If you are wealthy because you are destroying the environment or because you are happy to exploit child labour, you are NOT the wealthy I aspire to. I don’t want to learn from you.
Many people do all the right things (work on their mindset, spend money on personal development, hire coaches etc.) but are oppressed because of the colour of their skin, their postcode or their language.
Completely overlooking this when you speak about wealth creation is unacceptable. It’s gas lighting millions of women.
This doesn’t mean people without privilege cannot create wealth. Absolutely not. Although those of us with privilege should do all we can to let them stand on our shoulders.
Creating wealth is the right of any woman.
It’s exciting, let’s have more conversations about it but let’s also not ignore the real and raw reality of so many 😘
