You know one of the reasons I have been a supporter of this long standing thread is that I hate the way MLM business model exploits the most vulnerable in our society.
Even worse is that they make inroads into third world countries and exploit people who have no welfare safety net. Here is a comment from a youtube video where the economics of MLM is explored. I will post a link to the video at the end.
"I'm from a 3rd world country which has no laws against pyramid schemes or mlms. I have the sad experience of seeing my friends roped in and robbed of their lifetime savings. 1$ US can feed someone for a day. That gives you an idea when someone blows $300 US on a starting kit. That's a year's worth of groceries... So difficult to show them those videos because they don't speak English. They have to learn the hard way and it breaks my heart... Imagine going up to someone poor, in a difficult country, no jobs opportunities and telling them the crap those mlms sell? They're making a killing in my country..."
