I can't believe this has been going for nearly a year! I feel rather emotional Blush

I'll pop the list up in a second for any newcomers.

Here's to a fantastic December, and bolstered bank balances for January!

@Cathopeful and @toastytea, I only registered with Neevo a couple of weeks ago, and when I first registered I had no tasks on my dashboard. I seem to remember that once you've registered they start to send you emails about various tasks and then when you complete them, you get emails for others and so on. I am sure you will soon be inundated!

toastytea · 15/12/2019 16:22

@Catatemyhomework thanks! I tried to qualify for one but I think they required a different accent. Still on 2 projects with appen at the moment but mindful that they could end at any time!

lilmishap · 15/12/2019 18:26

NEEVO I was also rejecting loads for wrong background, Silent/Noisy.....I had a couple of English and American voiced that threw me!

I'm not loving the rate the text to speech voice do we have to comment on all of them?

TheLolaMontez · 15/12/2019 20:26

Neevo says I don't have the necessary language to do the Eng/Aus voice ones, even though they invited me to do it Sad

Catatemyhomework · 15/12/2019 20:53

@TheLolaMontez, you need to go into your profile settings and add English Australian as an additonal language and region. This will give you access once you refresh the system.

TheLolaMontez · 15/12/2019 20:54

Thank you @Catatemyhomework - I'll have a look now Smile

AliciaWhiskers · 15/12/2019 21:36

Is Neevo glitchy tonight? I'm stuck on the Aussie tasks and can't get them to load.

Madre77 · 15/12/2019 22:37

Any cloudworkers struggling at the moment or is it just me? Finding the conversations super stressful and it's getting harder to respond. Any advice?

TheLolaMontez · 15/12/2019 22:55

I do cloudworkers @Madre77 - I have struggled with it in the past and I had to step away from it for a while because in all honesty I found it draining.

I'm back on it now and I'm finding it much better. I'm not pressuring myself to work on it, (although I realise it can be hard not to) I just do what I can when I can.

With regards messages I have a few basic messages in my head that I just tweak and adapt as necessary which works for 90% of them. Sometimes I will ask what they are doing, or do they have plans for the evening, something like that.

Some days it's tough and others not so. I actually listen to heavy metal on my headphones while I do it, it helps me to zone out a bit which I also find helps, I think it's better if you're not concentrating too much to be honest.

Madre77 · 15/12/2019 23:13

@TheLolaMontez thank you so much for your response. I agree I've been putting pressure on myself to log into it which is making it more of an issue. The meet up conversations and arguments are what I finding hardest especially when they use the time of the year. Anyway a break is what's needed. Thanks x

TheLolaMontez · 15/12/2019 23:25

@Madre77 -

I used to struggle with the meet ups, if they mention it I will ask "what do you think a perfect first date would be?" So it's gently redirecting the conversation, then you can ask about their favourite food or films (if they suggest cinema), favourite alcoholic drinks, favourite coffees etc etc.

I try not to worry about the quality of the messages too much anymore because some of them I have read from other agents barely make sense! As long as they are in English and are understandable I don't worry an awful lot.

I don't tend to get many argumentative ones through. If I do I tend do go in the direction of "dont you want to speak to me any more? I wouldn't like to lose touch with you" or something similar.

If you're finding it tough and you're pressuring yourself I would advise having a break, it definitely helped me. I do wish we got paid more for our creativity, though!

Madre77 · 15/12/2019 23:32

@TheLolaMontez I know right! My open questions and jokes are way above amount we are gettingGrin. Thanks again x

TheLolaMontez · 15/12/2019 23:37

No problem @Madre77 Smile

lilmishap · 16/12/2019 00:11

@Madre77 there's a moneyshed thread about them and others I'll go look

Madre77 · 16/12/2019 00:25

Thanks @lilmishap.

lilmishap · 16/12/2019 00:53

Cloudworkers expect the moon on a stick is a theme that put me off, other companies let you pick when to work and want a number of messages weekly rather than shifts.

Bemystarlord · 16/12/2019 09:39

Anyone else getting no more tasks for the Aus validation on Neevo or have i messed up?

AliciaWhiskers · 16/12/2019 09:44

@Bemystarlord same here.

SNISR · 16/12/2019 09:46

@Bemystarlord me

Mine finished while I was doing them. I had 80 more to go to reach 1200.

I've been doing neevo tasks every day for about a week now and feels totally weird that I don't have anything to do today as ive completed them or they've finished lol. Waiting for a new task email to come through so I can get started.

Catatemyhomework · 16/12/2019 11:03

Anyone an agent today on Neevo? Been waiting half an hour and only had one call.

Frenchdoors1 · 16/12/2019 11:06

@Catatemyhomework
That's very strange, I've taken 21 calls since 9am! There was a tiny glitch earlier but only for a mi or so.

Frenchdoors1 · 16/12/2019 11:06

Hey,

I've been following this thread with interest. I have no money and am pretty desperate.

After reading through I have signed up to Appen - global and connect; risk and utest.

I think I passed the test on risk as I got through to the next page but it looks as though the waiting period is going to be long.

Utest I have filled out my profile. I have some testing experience (many years ago before I was a sahm) and I'm not sure if I will get any work through it.

Appen Connect I have applied for a few things but all are "in progress". I think I'm just waiting to see if I get accepted.

Appen Global I haven't got anything. I think I just wait.

Can anyone give me some tips on what else I can do? If I need to make money quite fast. Which I do.

HarrietThePi · 16/12/2019 11:34

I read about cloudworkers. I don't really understand that one. On the application form they ask why they should hire you, or something like that, I had no idea what to say.
