I can't believe this has been going for nearly a year! I feel rather emotional Blush

I'll pop the list up in a second for any newcomers.

Here's to a fantastic December, and bolstered bank balances for January!

Hi @ColdCottage - it's basically sites/methods we use to earn extra income. The goal is £10 a day from whatever means.

It may be worth checking out the previous threads, most have a list of sites and a little summary/link to explain them Smile or just ask any questions here!

Is it just me? Is it worth waiting to see if the exchange rate improves before withdrawing from Payoneer? It's $1/73.6p. For a change I have a decent amount in it. Can't wait to start working in pounds, the dollar exchange is brutal. It means most Appen stuff is £10/hr and then I have tax etc to sort.

Wolfff · 14/12/2019 10:16

@seizethecuttlefish

I've withdrawn mine because I needed it. I am not sure how often Payoneer update their rate. I noticed Paypal's got much worse a couple of months ago. If you don't need the money immediately it might be worth keeping an eye on it. Pound seems to be recovering against the dollar but that may be a temporary bounce.

DontCallMeDarling · 14/12/2019 10:30

If you don't need the money immediately then it is definitely worth waiting in my opinion. Most things I do pay in dollars! One day......

amd4578 · 14/12/2019 10:57

Surely if the rate improves I.e get more dollars to the pound which it is likely to carry on doing now there is more certainty around brexit then you want to withdraw it now as its the other way around.. Currently with the spot rate $13.50 ish wi get you £10 but if the rate carries on improving then a job that is worth more in dollars will still only get you a tenner..

anxiouswaiting · 14/12/2019 10:58

Gutted Neevo validation is over already, I only managed 150 and was going to do several hours over the weekend.

Looks like the Appen 20 hour tasks are coming to an end too. Hope the forest one starts soon.

Also had isoftstone that was meant to start in early Dec but now they are saying mid Jan.

seizethecuttlefish · 14/12/2019 11:09

@Wolfff thanks. I got a tax rebate so it's ok this month. I will keep an eye on it, I think. Let's hope the exchange rate gets better. Currently the pound is very weak and maybe a post election bump will make it stronger. It was 78p per dollar when I started. Even 3p makes a difference.

girlicorne · 14/12/2019 11:36

@anxiouswaiting oh no I finish my real job for Xmas on weds and was hoping to hit my 20 hour Appen projects really hard in the days before Xmas!! Hopefully if that’s the case I m also qualified for the one you mention so that will start soon and Crisp might be busy over Xmas?! So plenty to keep us busy 😀

Got wrong day sorry

anxiouswaiting · 14/12/2019 13:17

@mumofone2019 @girlicorne 2 of my projects have some work on at the moment but the 3rd (my favourite) e-mailed this morning saying it has ended and they won't be redirecting anyone to any of the other projects because Malta projects are all coming to an end. Going to try and get in as much as I can before it is all over

@anxiouswaiting same here it was my favourite as well, I have two left one is awful but typically the one with loads of work and one which I quite like which is hit and miss but has work today, we are at a Christmas party though and won’t be home til later so it might all have gone and might just have to do the horrible one this weekend!!

seizethecuttlefish · 14/12/2019 16:36

Same here. Been great to have some work and I'm grateful as I didn't think it'd last this long but I'm already missing the projects that have gone lol. I've applied for everything on my Appen that I can do, apart from a couple with low rates.
I never got an invite for the new isoftstone project so not much happening there.
It's been a good month.

Madre77 · 14/12/2019 17:47

Hey guys I want to undertake a role but they seem a bit sketchy so want to set up a non fee paying prepaid account that's not linked to my credit history etc but money can still be paid in. Anyone have one of these that they want to recommend? If you had a link that makes us both a little ££ that would be even better. ThanksGrin

MoreMoneyPlease · 14/12/2019 18:00

I'm using Monese for mine, seems ok. Here's my referral link!

Open a Monese mobile money account and get up to £20 free (depending on your currency). Just use my invite code...JACQU119. Download the Monese app here: monese.app.link/492ro7MW70?invite=JACQU119

MoreMoneyPlease · 14/12/2019 18:02

I also use Revolut but they're not offering any referral fee but you can get a free card with my link

Madre77 · 14/12/2019 18:08

@MoreMoneyPlease thanks so much I'll take a look.

YourOpinionIsNoted · 14/12/2019 18:11

I did the crisp application ages back based on one of these threads, got accepted this week and have done the training modules, now just waiting for the email to say I can do the test.

Hopefully I'll pass that one and I can start earning in the new year!

Big thanks to everyone on this thread, I wouldn't have found crisp on my own and it could be really good for our family.

Merry Christmas all! Xmas Smile

ZetaPuppis · 14/12/2019 20:20

@YourOpinionIsNoted I’m in the same position. Good luck to us.

Does anyone earn money for website testing? That appeals to me. I wonder if anyone can recommend any good sites?

Whatsmyname2019 · 14/12/2019 21:05

@YourOpinionIsNoted @ZetaPuppis hi I’ve just passed crisp test !! Waiting for final log in. Keep in touch

lilmishap · 14/12/2019 22:09

@ZetaPuppis Utest is very good, Usertesting is the easiest to start with

Catatemyhomework · 14/12/2019 22:57

There seems to be quite a lot of work with Neevo at the moment. You can be an agent all week next week for $15 per hr and they've just added some English Australia validation tasks if anyone's interested. I reckon there's a couple of 100 quid to be made there between now and Christmas. Will need to try and and put in some serious hours next week.
