Checked TIO to see if anyone had won and it's vanished!! Surely it isn't contentious 😂

Villanellesproudmum · 01/04/2019 12:40

No £1000 + prize for me, maybe a smaller one tomorrow 🤞🏻

TVHubbyClaire · 01/04/2019 12:52

I am about to receive my share from marriage separation and have been concerned about where to put the money. I can't afford to lose any of it so stocks and shares ISAs seem a bit too risky as I will need to buy a property soon. I think I may put some into Premium bonds, sounds quite fun and interest rates on low risk accounts are so dam low. I assume all you holders recommend it as a fun way of keeping savings either long or short term. I assume there is no cashing in fee? Am I correct?...grateful for any friendly advice

MarthasGinYard · 01/04/2019 12:54

Lots of luck all

It's tmrw on app

Sad
SouthWestmom · 01/04/2019 12:55

No cashing in fee, just no interest if you leave for years and don't win . I'd say it was fun if you don't need to save and get interest

TVHubbyClaire · 01/04/2019 13:17

Thank you Noeuf it wont be a long term thing so i think I will give it a try

Villanellesproudmum · 01/04/2019 14:13

It’s free to run your account and you don’t gamble your bonds just the interest (prizes) odds are poor. Something like 24.000 to 1 and most financial bods would recommend other forms of saving. But for me they work because I can add and remove funds as and when I want. Plus the excitedment of possibly winning.

TVHubbyClaire · 01/04/2019 14:32

Thanks vill I think that's what it will be for me too and if I find a house quickly it wont be for a long time and at least capital will be intact and lost interest wouldn't be much.....and who knows what might happen...

SouthWestmom · 01/04/2019 19:16

Plus they always repay within a few days - any time I've withdrawn it's been the same week.

I know! Almost two years and about £50...

Whatthefoxgoingon · 02/04/2019 12:36

£50 for me as well. It’s better than zero last month at least!

This is a terrible financial decision, but seeing as I’ve invested properly with the rest of our savings, I’m willing to stick with it for a bit of fun Smile

And yes, it’s very easy and quick to cash in anytime. I’ve done it all online.

wizzler · 02/04/2019 13:21
