I just had a very odd experience.

There is a woman blogger type mummy that I follow on Facebook. She has well over a million followers and can be quite amusing at times.
I'm sure she is on your radars.

She put a post on today saying that she's always being asked what makeup she uses and a picture of it. I could tell straight away it was an MLM - not sure if we have this particular one in the UK.

I commented saying something along the lines of "oh no this is a MLM- I feel that they exploit women and are often over priced items to allow for all the levels of commission up the pyramid"

All hell broke loose. I was called every name under the sun, told I must have been a failure at it, that all companies are pyramids, that it's all about mothers earning brilliant incomes.

I was never once personal I just stated I didn't like the industry.

A bit later my comment and the 52 billion replies to my comment have been deleted.

So sad that someone with such a following of women advertises like this 😢

Out of interest, what were the replies to your comment like? (Assuming you managed to catch any. )

Well, I was pounced on by obvious network marketers.

First I was told that I should educate myself the difference between pyramids and mlm' .

Then I was told I shouldn't attack people (I didn't- I said I didn't like the industry)

It went on and on and then I got a lecture that all companies are pyramids. CEO's always earn more than other people.

That I should support other women trying to make a living.

Then it got personal and I was accused of clearly being a failed network marketer etc.

For the record, I wasn't rude once , I was calm and factual in all I said.
They however, were not!

Apparently though if you ever put a comment on a post that doesn't agree with people you are a hater!

They all sound rather .....desperate.

It was just so odd.

I'm also surprised that someone with such a following wouldn't be savvy to that particular industry.

That's over a million women that hang on to her every word who potentially are off to buy the makeup which she is selling now through her page!!!

Funny that she deleted my comment but now it makes sense! She's possibly on their books!

God I'm naive sometimes. When I first commented I thought maybe she hadn't realised it was an MLM.

Well it's definitely not Peter and Jane's mummy because she's an actual real life friend and would be the last person to get into any MLM Hun stupidity (basks in reflective glory of having a real life Mummy Blogger friend )

I've just gone back to look at it and she is a representative for the company. That's why I got pounced on and she deleted it
