New to these threads and quite bemused as to a lot of the references here but I feel swamped by the amount of people buying into these schemes. I run a legit small service business (not an mlm) and briefly lo led at nuskin as the products had possibilities as an added sideline to my existing business so I did sign up but never bought anything because the galvanic thingy looked way overpriced and I saw loads being resold on eBay. Also, I think the small print said I couldn't sell the products on my website? So I backed away and by the sound of it, I did the right thing? But I'm intrigued by all these comments and references so I'm hoping as the threads continue, it'll all make some sense!

Also why is it that people in these schemes expect you to buy from them, but they won't buy from you in return???

GavinFromTradingStandards · 14/08/2017 07:23

It sounds like you did the right thing yes. And I'm guessing they won't buy your products in return because either they don't want them and/or can't afford them.

@GavinFromTradingStandards - it's the latter . No problem if somebody doesn't want to use my service, but it's the "oh please buy xyz overpriced crap from me. I love your work/yes I'd like a trial/oh I want to do that but I can't buy anything" - especially after they've taken advantage of a promotion I'm running but haven't followed through that gets me. Mainly because their so called 'business' is draining their every penny. Sorry, take no notice! just makes me grumpy!

GoldenKelpie · 14/08/2017 09:21

Quote from Mielabel "...There is a need in our society to work flexibly (especially for young mums), have a chance at real success on our own terms and feel part of something with other women and if something legit could fill this gap maybe MLM would be easier to kick down. I hate to see others going through what I did for years and wish there was an alternative to fulfil the needs MLM preys upon..."

I'm sorry to hear of your MLM experiece, Mielabel, it confirms what we know about the insidious and damaging nature of this business model. I am glad you are out of it Smile. I like your comment (above) and totally agree.

Re: Effie and JFLP. There's a fb page here set up by disgruntled ex-reps to expose the issues they have been having over the years. It is like MLM in that the (mainly) women who buy in to the business don't actually make any money and complaints about poor quality and delays seem to be cropping up regularly. Here is the mn thread, if you're interested.

GoldenKelpie · 14/08/2017 09:39

Some of the reviews from customers of JFTP on this Review Site are shocking.

darceybussell · 14/08/2017 09:49

So the top leader within valentus has now left the company in a big shitstorm, writing furious posts on social media about how unethical her uplines are.

This is about 18 months after she left forever living in a big shitstorm, writing furious posts on social media about how unethical her uplines were.

This just keeps happening to these poor MLMers, over and over again, doesn't it? They keep running into these unethical uplines who are lying and cheating to keep making money at all costs.

Just a suggestion, perhaps it is THE BUSINESS MODEL that causes people to behave in this way? If they were truthful about their 'business' no one would ever join and no one would ever stay. There is NO ethical way to conduct an MLM business. And THAT is why this keeps happening over and over and over.

CurlsandCurves · 14/08/2017 10:10

@darcey who is the top leader who's left?

GavinFromTradingStandards · 14/08/2017 10:23

Cockobot curls

Aha! I struggle to keep up with who does what sometimes...

fitgirl26 · 14/08/2017 11:49

Didn't the same Top Bot also leave Lifetree World in a massive shit storm as well?

Ladiva1971 · 14/08/2017 15:41

Who is Cockobot please, I thought I knew most of them. Thanks

Ladiva1971 · 14/08/2017 15:59

Thanks Wink

ItsABitStormy · 14/08/2017 16:43

SalonBot is already upto something new but she is being private about it. So she thought anyway. Apparently a messenger voicenote is doing the rounds today with her saying that she is involved with something else but doesnt require selling. It requires 'investments' and she states it will not affect Valentus because it isn't product selling.

cozietoesie · 14/08/2017 17:09

It will likely be cryptocurrency of some description.

Ladiva1971 · 14/08/2017 17:49

Bighairbot and partner in crime are really beginning to grate my nerves, do they actually do anything? apart from go to pubs and have bloody team meetings? The more I look into those two the more confused I get. However I was really bored the other day and I found some really interesting articles about his CEO, has anyone else read any thing about him?

DoratheExplorer17 · 14/08/2017 18:01

There's one now called bounce which is life insurance policies. Maybe that one?

Ladiva1971 · 14/08/2017 18:16

No way not the 1 Burkinheadbot does thought they hated each other, talking of BHbot he is being rather cryptic today, in fact more cryptic than normal.....

TrippleFlappyDiamondSparrow · 14/08/2017 18:20

Stormy Oh dear... shock horror, she's ready to jump ship to some crypto currency no doubt. What happened to 'what have we found 😂 She's so scammy.

Must be a lovely honeymoon period for her. Running around trying to entice her victims into another scam.

cozietoesie · 14/08/2017 18:20

Doesn't the FCA have a locus if the products are 'investments'? Smile

Moose23IsHungry · 14/08/2017 18:42

@Ladiva1971 you mean the guy who was in the paper for assault on women in 2015? Yeah I was bored enough to find that too!

Cakietea · 14/08/2017 18:42

Ladiva - yes a bit of a drama for birkenheadbot today and lots of "are you ok Hun" responses, bless him. It all seems to be going tits up for the bots this past two weeks Shock

TrippleFlappyDiamondSparrow · 14/08/2017 18:52

I can't see a scrap on Birkenheads page. Has he finally learnt to lock it down?

Moose23IsHungry · 14/08/2017 19:06

Has birkobot locked down his page? Last thing I see is a pic at his brother's wedding..

Cakietea · 14/08/2017 19:14

He's making posts to friends only, not sure of the etiquette of posting screenshots that aren't public.

ArbunneHun · 14/08/2017 19:17

Anyone know yet which MLM Cocko has joined?
