Hello,
Urgently seeking advice. I work but have been left in a situation where I have no money whatsoever until the last day of the month:
I have emergency on gas and electric and little food in the house.

I've contacted the council , csa, credit unions and all have been unable to help because I am not classed as urgent because I am employed. Existing credit rating from ex partner has left me with a zero chance of lending a

I have no family who are able to help and my only friend is on holiday.
I feel like I'm in the middle of a nervous break down and don't know where to turn.

Can anyone suggest what I can do with regard to my finance!

My local food bank is 13 miles away and I do not drive. I'm so anxious I don't even feel like I can leave the house. Please help.

Do you have any old broken (or non broken) jewellery, silver or gold in any condition? You can sell it at most local jewellery shops for the scrap value.

I think Provident have gone into administration, be careful if you get money from them.

nancy , lots of small pubs will still pay per shift / weekly and it's only a suggestion which would be better than a payday loan .

Do all of the above until your friend's back from holiday if you genuinely can't think of a way to contact her. Be honest with acquaintances and colleagues, they might be able to help out.

I think looking for casual bar work is a good idea. It solves the problem immediately without adding to the cash flow problem like a payday loan would.

Can you advertise locally on Facebook/gumtree for ironing or cleaning services. Would be cash in hand.

The suggestion of pubs/bars/restaurants is a good one as even if you don't get paid for a week or month, you should get plenty of tips to buy food with. Go round them all and ask, often there are jobs even if not advertised.
