Still going strong here at bot watch HQ on MN!

Previous thread here

Botwatch on Wordpress and on Facebook

Timeless Vie on Wordpress and on Facebook

Eyespeying's Blog aka #manhun, even if he's been banned by MNHQ

Hommetepreneur on Facebook

NEW Link to the Daily Mail article of 20 May 2016 regarding an ex-bot's treatment at the hands of her 'spline' at Forever Living UK

NEW Link to NastashaBarnbotShingles' refutation of the above.

We have our own regularly returning bots to tell us how bullying and hateful we are.

Glossary:

Bots: our affectionate name for victims of the MLM racket

MLM: Multi-level Marketing schemes - essentially pyramid schemes that are just legal because you sell a product. Reliant upon constant recruitment despite there not being enough people in the world to go beyond about 12 levels if everyone recruited 6.

Downline/Upline: the people you recruited and those who recruited you (going up and down the pyramid inverted funnel)

Timeless Vie: Parody of MLM schemes (though you might spot one in particular) that also carries out fearless investigative work

Hommetrepreneur: also excellent parody site focussing on the menz

BotWatch: Rather more serious, keeps an eye on what the Bots are claiming next, particularly in reference to health and income claims. Also fearless.

Inverted Funnel: Timeless Vie is NOT a pyramid - it's an inverted Funnel, OK?

Eyes: Our former member Eyespying who knows LOTS about MLM schemes. He's still our very own #manhun.

Twunk (AKA ForeverYazoonique) has a bottle of Banana Yazoo in her fridge. She's still too afraid to drink it. Yahoo is important as seems to be the primary retail product for Life Tree World.

Is it, toobusy?

Ugh, makes me so mad! MNHQ removed my previous post for me as I showed the posters information etc, so here is what I posted if anyone's wondering.

It's not even 100% aloe vera gel - the ingredients list bears that out

Just been to Holland and Barrett and looked at their equivilent gel. Not recommended for pregnant or bf women or under 18s. Organic. Dosage 15ml daily. £11:99 price but everything is buy on buy another half price Grin.

Toobusytowee · 11/06/2016 12:45

The Euopean rules on medicinal plants says that aloe vera should not be ingested by pregnant women or children under 16.

NorbertDentressangle · 11/06/2016 13:00

TwatbadgingCuntfuckery · 11/06/2016 13:02

DollyTwat · 11/06/2016 13:36

The excellent BotWatch piece on alternative or extra income is useful for anyone just reading the board as well as reading this thread, I think.

🙂

cozietoesie · 11/06/2016 21:57

Sorry - my device is being temperamental.

cozietoesie · 11/06/2016 22:04

Ah - finally.

In need of extra/alternative income?

cozietoesie · 11/06/2016 22:07

More or less. Grin

( It should actually read something like 'In need of an alternative/extra income?' I'm blaming my device.)

Toobusytowee · 12/06/2016 03:31

Anybody having a spiritual crisis? Never fear, just take some juice plus and all will be fine.

Hmm, toobusy, they seem to be trying to cover all bases here. Hmm

I have been reading the TV page and found this about how we would like MLM companies to be honest when they tell people about becoming a member.

And I thought I'd post this article too, about how MLM companies exploit people who are unemployed or on Job Seekers Allowance telling them they can 'start their own business' using the Enterprise Allowance Scheme and get money from the government.

I would love to know if anyone has done this and how they got on. Any lurkers here like to talk about it?

And TimelessVie's latest article is here, beginning with a closer look at the DSA.

cozietoesie · 12/06/2016 07:46

....Help with women's issues....??

cozietoesie · 12/06/2016 07:48

...Women's Issues...

(My device is still sulky.)

cozietoesie · 12/06/2016 08:35

By the way, Thanks for those links, stopfaffing. Very useful. Smile

cozietoesie · 12/06/2016 10:04

In particular, that new Timeless Vie piece. Smile

rayofhope · 12/06/2016 13:19

'Decrease in body odour' surely just having a shower every day helps with that, or are they trying to save water too?

Spongebobette · 12/06/2016 14:54

of course it will help with 'women's issues', Cozie.

take one sip of Juice Plus and immediately demand equal pay for all women. I think you'll be surprised at how effective it is.

Deerking · 12/06/2016 17:24

Hi all!
Been catching up on this since thread 22, made it to page 12 of this one and decided just to skip ahead to post and meet you all :D

Found out about MLMs as I have (recently been diagnosed with) a chronic condition, and they're rampant on the forums/facebook groups - constantly trying to flog FL, JP or some other crud that proclaims to "cure" our UNcurable disease! It's made me so angry and sad as many people are so ill that they're close to dying and are so desperate to try anything that they get sucked into this nonsense :( They usually get removed pretty quick, but what they sell has made people very very ill!

Anyway, this has cheered me up to no end! Does anyone have directions to the BarnBot video? I'm desperate to watch it!

olafisking · 12/06/2016 17:58

So I realise this may get me booted off the thread buuuuut... I'm going to a Jamberry party tonight. Stickers look overpriced but nice from what I've seen, am hoping for free samples or at least a manicure! The rep is not the friend who invited me IYSWIM so no direct social pressure. Shall I report back?

cozietoesie · 12/06/2016 18:25

Welcome to the thread, Deer. I'm very sorry about your diagnosis.

cozietoesie · 12/06/2016 18:31

Maybe read Timeless Vie, olaf?

Or BotWatch of course. (Including the FB sites for both.) All the links are in the Opening Post of this thread. Smile

darceybussell · 12/06/2016 18:42

Tonight I have discovered that the Arbonne RE9 anti ageing range gives results within 'three working days'.

I wonder why not at weekends and bank holidays.... Does it have a break on those days?

olafisking · 12/06/2016 18:50

Cozie I've been reading a while and know all that. I just fancy a night out and some possible free nail wraps!
