Still going strong here at bot watch HQ on MN!

Previous thread here

Botwatch on Wordpress and on Facebook

Timeless Vie on Wordpress and on Facebook

Eyespeying's Blog aka #manhun, even if he's been banned by MNHQ

Hommetepreneur on Facebook

NEW Link to the Daily Mail article of 20 May 2016 regarding an ex-bot's treatment at the hands of her 'spline' at Forever Living UK

NEW Link to NastashaBarnbotShingles' refutation of the above.

We have our own regularly returning bots to tell us how bullying and hateful we are.

Glossary:

Bots: our affectionate name for victims of the MLM racket

MLM: Multi-level Marketing schemes - essentially pyramid schemes that are just legal because you sell a product. Reliant upon constant recruitment despite there not being enough people in the world to go beyond about 12 levels if everyone recruited 6.

Downline/Upline: the people you recruited and those who recruited you (going up and down the pyramid inverted funnel)

Timeless Vie: Parody of MLM schemes (though you might spot one in particular) that also carries out fearless investigative work

Hommetrepreneur: also excellent parody site focussing on the menz

BotWatch: Rather more serious, keeps an eye on what the Bots are claiming next, particularly in reference to health and income claims. Also fearless.

Inverted Funnel: Timeless Vie is NOT a pyramid - it's an inverted Funnel, OK?

Eyes: Our former member Eyespying who knows LOTS about MLM schemes. He's still our very own #manhun.

Twunk (AKA ForeverYazoonique) has a bottle of Banana Yazoo in her fridge. She's still too afraid to drink it. Yahoo is important as seems to be the primary retail product for Life Tree World.

I guess this is the new one aimed at boys/men. I'm seeing loads and loads of these types of things popping up on sponsored ads and from FB "friends":

I'm glad you posted, Forever. So Friday night is the night, eh? Grin

ForeverYazoonique · 07/06/2016 18:47

Yes. I will have some wine beer vodka thing to take away the taste on standby

cozietoesie · 07/06/2016 18:50

Well done. I thought you might have nominated the dog one of the family to take on the task! Wink

ForeverYazoonique · 07/06/2016 18:51

I've been taking a wee break from MN (mostly!). Managed to get bitten by another troll - fucking "son with leukaemia" one. I am still suffering from the shock of it all when DS2 was diagnosed and that bastard had me relive it. I've looked back at the thread where he was diagnosed and it reads very similarly. Fucking bastard.

There are some real bloodsuckers out there, and not all of them are Bots.

Speaking of Bots - I wonder how things are going under the new regime at FL?

(I looked back at the thread when DS2 was diagnosed that is)

The dog is getting old. Also his farts are bad enough already Confused

cozietoesie · 07/06/2016 19:17

I didn't know that DS2 had been diagnosed - or that you were caught up, subsequently. My sympathies.

bestegg · 07/06/2016 19:20

I've noticed that a lot of facebook recruiting posts by FL Bots hvae changed in tone, the earnings range seems to have narrowed quite a bit £200-500 per month). I have also seen some where it is described as a party planner.

There certainly seems to have been a 'taming' of some recruiting posts

ForeverYazoonique · 07/06/2016 19:24

Ah he's fine now Cozie - 3 years in remission, 1 year off treatment and a happy, healthy boy. Me? Not so much.

Interesting Bestegg - it's still an awful lot of work to make £200-£500. Loads.

OP posts:
cozietoesie · 07/06/2016 19:31

You can't direct what's said one to one, though - and that's still the method of choice for recruitment. If the 'official' version is changing that would still be interesting though.

I'm sure someone here could answer the question. 😀

Kanga59 · 07/06/2016 19:51

Ive noticed the change of tone too. It's all about building that "extra" income now rather than sacking off the boss after 3 months of working 2 hours a day.

cozietoesie · 07/06/2016 19:54

Chat seem to have the measure of the situation, Felicity. Wink

Slugsandcabbages · 07/06/2016 20:22

Hi, not sure if anybody on here will be able to help, but worth a try. I've got a friend who is a FL not and now a Jamberry bot as well. She offers some massive discounts on the FL products, and has always said they are free to pick their own prices, something to do with EU legislation that a supplier can't specify the price they sell at???? But apparently Jamberry is different and they aren't a supplier, and the bots are independent contractors so they can't discount etc. does anybody know what difference that makes? Is it worse than the relationship she has with FL (if that's possible?). Thanks

ForeverYazoonique · 07/06/2016 20:28

Oooooh interesting Slugs

And I must admit I have no idea. Someone wiser will be along I'm sure.

OP posts:
cozietoesie · 07/06/2016 20:31

Of course you have an idea, Forever. Think it through. Smile

DebbieDallas · 07/06/2016 20:32

You are a headmistress in real life aren't you cozie Grin

cozietoesie · 07/06/2016 20:35

Go have that banana milk-shake, Forever. That will perk you. Grin

MrGrumpy01 · 07/06/2016 20:50

Missed the thread,

Too busy dealing with a stroppy 4yr old.

Maybe I should start threatening her with yazoo if she doesn't behave

smiinky · 07/06/2016 21:43

slugs it beats the shit out of me how anyone can even sell Jamberry. I was chucking some stuff out tonight and came accross the sample sheet that was sent to me. I gave them a try tonight, beyond awful, looked so bad I took them off right away. Maybe if I were nine years old but, yeuch, they are horrible.
I think bots in FL and Jamberry buy stock at a set price, but if they choose to discount or do giveaways, then they take the hit. I think you can end up in a downward spiral of discounting ( like Younique bots trying to compete with ebay where the mascara can be had for a fiver), or even signing people up and buying their kits in order to hit targets.

cozietoesie · 07/06/2016 21:51

Yep. Hitting targets is 'good' MLM progress. It may mean having to heavily discount stock to shift it and might be the ruin of your financial situation but Hey - you might get plaudits and a Bonus! If it 'doesn't quite work out' though.......?

Slugsandcabbages · 07/06/2016 22:05

I've seen the Jamberry policies and procedures she's shown me, and they forbid discounting apart from 4 times a year or something silly. I know from my previous FL not life that they couldn't enforce prices. Just seemed strange it's different. I think she was hoping to do the same as she does with FL and offer them at lower prices and take the hit.

cozietoesie · 07/06/2016 22:21

How can you stop it happening in real life, though? (I grant that you may not be able to mention it on social media etc.)
