Still going strong here at bot watch HQ on MN!

Previous thread here

Botwatch on Wordpress and on Facebook

Timeless Vie on Wordpress and on Facebook

Eyespeying's Blog aka #manhun, even if he's been banned by MNHQ

Hommetepreneur on Facebook

NEW Link to the Daily Mail article of 20 May 2016 regarding an ex-bot's treatment at the hands of her 'spline' at Forever Living UK

NEW Link to NastashaBarnbotShingles' refutation of the above.

We have our own regularly returning bots to tell us how bullying and hateful we are.

Glossary:

Bots: our affectionate name for victims of the MLM racket

MLM: Multi-level Marketing schemes - essentially pyramid schemes that are just legal because you sell a product. Reliant upon constant recruitment despite there not being enough people in the world to go beyond about 12 levels if everyone recruited 6.

Downline/Upline: the people you recruited and those who recruited you (going up and down the pyramid inverted funnel)

Timeless Vie: Parody of MLM schemes (though you might spot one in particular) that also carries out fearless investigative work

Hommetrepreneur: also excellent parody site focussing on the menz

BotWatch: Rather more serious, keeps an eye on what the Bots are claiming next, particularly in reference to health and income claims. Also fearless.

Inverted Funnel: Timeless Vie is NOT a pyramid - it's an inverted Funnel, OK?

Eyes: Our former member Eyespying who knows LOTS about MLM schemes. He's still our very own #manhun.

Twunk (AKA ForeverYazoonique) has a bottle of Banana Yazoo in her fridge. She's still too afraid to drink it. Yahoo is important as seems to be the primary retail product for Life Tree World.

Careful there orange a bot will be along any minute to accuse you of bullying!

🙄🙄🙄🙄😉😉

kamchatka23 · 26/05/2016 11:03

Yeah, I'm sure the bot I know that 'recruited' a learning disabled woman who has an autistic son purely did it to 'help'. Not.

MrshumbleSnide · 26/05/2016 11:07

Oh kam!!!! WTF????

Toobusytowee · 26/05/2016 11:08

Kamchatka, it could be possible that the bot recruiting the vulnerable woman genuinely thought she was helping. She really might think she is giving a great opportunity to someone who couldn't otherwise work. Either that, or she was so desperate for the CC's, she put her morals to one side. Whichever scenario is true, they both point to a very sinister system.

Sorry about the double post. I just had a fight with my computer.

cozietoesie · 26/05/2016 11:13

I remember you talking about that, kam. It was chilling.

DollyTwat · 26/05/2016 11:21

I see over on the Timeless Vie page one of the Worcester Women in Business competition contenders had spoken out about how everyone felt about the FL judge and the FL winner of an also ran award

Interesting comments too

kamchatka23 · 26/05/2016 11:38

Yes, I guess she might have thought that to some extent, but it speaks to the amount of brainwashing these companies do that the bots think such a 'business' would be suitable for such a vulnerable person with very little money and limited communication skills.

DailyMailAreAFuckingJoke · 26/05/2016 12:22

Haven't been on the threads recently as I've been keeping up with TV via the blog and FB. Think I have caught up now, although why is Eyes not posting anymore??

I feel a bit sorry for Natasha TBH - as mad as that sounds. She's in this shite so deep...She must know it's bullshit but is presumably so enmeshed that she can't leave. I can't believe that someone would walk away from a secure tenancy to go into a private rental. The work 25 hours a day and 'sacrifices' that she's had to make, fly in the face of some of the crappy memes they post about working from home and around your kids so that you don't miss those precious moments blah, blah, blah.

Toobusytowee · 26/05/2016 12:38

Eyes got banned because he was mentioning people's names and exposing what they were up to. He was happy to defend himself if any of them complained but it was a bit much for MN to want to deal with.

DebbieDallas · 26/05/2016 12:58

DMAAFJ I remember feeling sympathy for Barnbot when she payed, thought she was funny. But those recent angry random posts here and ranting victim blaming blog posts of her own lost all empathy from me.

cozietoesie · 26/05/2016 13:22

I do feel sympathy for MLM adherents, in deep or not. (And tremendous respect for those who manage to leave.) It doesn't alter my views of MLMs and their methods though.

MrshumbleSnide · 26/05/2016 13:31

Whilst once I did have sympathy and feel that Natasha seemed possibly decent, her recent behaviour on here/on her blog and that of her bot friends has 100% convinced me otherwise. I think she carefully manipulated conversations here to suit her own objectives... She tried again recently and failed. Oh well...
#Sorrynotsorry

DailyMailAreAFuckingJoke · 26/05/2016 14:51

No I think MLM is a load of old bullshit. Natasha looks like she is in the last desperate stages of defence - lashing out and trying misdirection and suggestion to divert attention elsewhere. As a PP said (sorry can't remember name) it's very telling that FLP were happy for her to speak to a journo without any PR guidance. It sums up the ethos of MLM perfectly though, doesn't it? If you win then we'll take the credit for 'providing' you with this opportunity. If you lose then you are 100% on your own and will be denounced as 'rogue' or 'not reflective of our genuine business owners'. Then you'll have a load of bots piling on via social media to say that you didn't want it enough, or didn't try hard enough etc.

cozietoesie · 26/05/2016 15:20

I reckon the MLMs are already switching focus - to 'less developed markets' in most cases. A few adherents will be left behind to attempt to keep the UK 'ticking over' and to lessen fallout. I wouldn't guess that their well-being would be paramount in the MLMs' minds though.

CamelsAndMaus · 26/05/2016 15:26

Need some urgent help please. For the first time someone I genuinely care about (as opposed to just being an acquaintance) has got hooked in with Nuskin. She's their perfect market - 19, does beauty with her own business (she's very good) is currently about 4 months pregnant and has just got engaged.

She says there's no sign up fee and she didn't have to commit to signing anyone up or purchasing a minimum amount. Now I guess this might be possible as her business (alongside similar others such as gym owners or personal trainers) might get her a special deal as she's in a position to influence people.

She says she can't see why people can't make money at it.

I've sent her the DM link but if anyone can provide me with a very quick basic overview to send her (obviously having been investigating this for 4 months I know the score) as she's only just got into it and I want to get her out of it ASAP. Even if she manages to utilise enough product from her beauty business I don't want to see her sucked in any further.

Also if anyone has any Nuskin specific information (feel free to PM if you don't want to post up on here) I'd be really grateful. I've asked her to give me 24 hours to provide her with more information.

She's a very bright, determined girl but at the end of the day she's 19 so please for now, no mention of cults or certain religious entities as to her that would probably make me seem batshit crazy.

Free camels and maus if anyone can help.... please.

Watched the Lynoness video today on the recommendation of Eyes a few threads back. I feel both desperately sad for the sweating guy fumbling through his pitch and incredibly angry.

In other news, one of my bots is getting us all psyched up for Father's Day. Anyone's dad fancy a basket of total shit?

BleakBetty · 26/05/2016 15:49

Crap, didn't attach.

BleakBetty · 26/05/2016 15:50

I'm sure my dad would love a can of phoney fizzy pop and some fucking heat lotion Grin. Father's Day sorted!

BleakBetty · 26/05/2016 15:51

Camels, perhaps sent her a few choice Timeless Vie posts? Possibly the one designed for people you care about, I'm sure another poster can link you in.

NuSkin is bloody awful, sorry Camels.

darceybussell · 26/05/2016 16:09

mlm-thetruth.com/shocking-stats-2/

This link might help Camels, in summary research has shown that 99.94% of Nuskin distributors lose money. You are 48 times more likely to make a profit playing roulette in Vegas than as a distributor with Nuskin.

cozietoesie · 26/05/2016 16:15

People who care about you are worried

cozietoesie · 26/05/2016 16:17

Sorry - that's to Bleak. I think that was likely the one she meant.

cozietoesie · 26/05/2016 16:40

The best of luck to you, Camels. From the sound of things, I suspect that you may temporarily have lost her - but who can tell.
