bsintolerant

depends where you stick it

Actually my favourite quote of the May bank holiday! 😂😂

hashtagwinning · 01/05/2016 17:42

Do I get 8% Hun for facilitating it? Wink

BSintolerant · 01/05/2016 17:43

hashtag 😂

Only if you use the warmer first ...

Delurker2016 · 01/05/2016 17:49

12% Hun! It's bank holiday, we're having a special sale. 😉

Melaw21 · 01/05/2016 17:50

Delurker! Why yes!, that does ring a bell.... 🤔🤔

BSintolerant · 01/05/2016 17:52

Ding, dong!

Twunk · 01/05/2016 17:56

I would give a friend £200 if they needed it.

I wouldn't prop them up in an MLM though. I certainly wouldn't give it to keep Sexy Rexy in silk socks and diamonds

BeckyWithTheHair · 01/05/2016 17:58

Thanks hashtag, worryingly the friend acquaintance that has invited me to this Scentsy [party?] is a medical professional.

cozietoesie · 01/05/2016 18:00

Many people will, though, Twunk. (Well maybe not £200 but - say - £50 to help out?) Mums, aunties, sisters etc etc possibly would also if a family rallying call was put out.

RaeSkywalker · 01/05/2016 18:03

Twunk same here.

The way she explained it, she felt that if she didn't join FL, her friend wouldn't want to know her any more. They've known each other since primary school and are now in their mid-20's. I feel very sad for her, and obviously I would question whether this friend is actually a friend, but there you go.

BeckyWithTheHair · 01/05/2016 18:04

Thanks hashtag

NorbertDentressangle · 01/05/2016 18:06

Can someone help me got my head round this please as it doesn't make sense .......

My FL bot is giving away "free products" to her best performing team members as a thank you and to help them grow their business.

How does this help her team members?

I mean, they won't gain by passing them on to their customers as they then won't get their CCs for them, if they use them themselves then again they miss out on the CCs they get for buying things for personal use/topping up so they reach minimum CCs that month.

Surely the only winner here is my bot who has probably bought the products herself to up her sales but has probably run out of room in the garage to store it all alongside the other times she's topped up her CCs as she gets the CCs. ??

cozietoesie · 01/05/2016 18:07

We could all resist blandishments forever if we didn't need interaction with people at some level. Most people do need that.

gottaloveascamhun · 01/05/2016 18:08

Cozietosie yes, I think a lot of buying wampum to help a friend or family member happens at the beginning. The bot gets really excited eeeeek and is spurred on. Then they get deeper and deeper into the labyrinth until it seems unthinkable to leave
Too much invested, time, money, family sacrifices. Pressure from upline. Then the goalposts move of they hit manager and it becomes ridiculous. Scary.

Twunk · 01/05/2016 18:09

Exactly Norbert

I can imagine more welcome gifts than more of the crap stuff they already have!

cozietoesie · 01/05/2016 18:10

'Obligation/loyalty/proof (!) of - if not friendship at least the you're 'valued' enough to be in the team? Loads of benefits. Smile

hashtagwinning · 01/05/2016 18:20

I see a lot of heavy gifting to and from on social media. Some really nice stuff, blue boxes with white ribbon, items that come in dust bags. I'm sure it's bought from outlet villages but still I wonder how much cash is spent on these items to keep the illusion up.

NorbertDentressangle · 01/05/2016 18:26

hashtag maybe it's the same posh reed diffusers/handbags/perfumes that get circulated around teams to add to the illusion.

This week Soaring Sparrow team gets it, next week it's Pooping Pigeon teams turn

cozietoesie · 01/05/2016 18:40

Gifting is a massively complicated thing, hashtag. Massively - there are practically whole university departments dedicated to it! Grin

At it rawest, and in this context, though, better to regard it as a 'cementing of relationships'. I suspect it's more about obligation than illusion. (Higher value increases the obligation etc etc..........)

Tojoinornottojoin · 01/05/2016 18:50

Well that escalated quiet quickly, I come back from my meeting with my info pack - settle down for a bit of light reading to find I'm now considered 'the top of the pyramid' if it was that easy i'd of joined months ago. I came on this thread for a 2 way point of view on MLM's having had time one to read this thread I mistakingly thought this was the right place to get a balanced argument. I have no idea what you mean by writing style ? Sarcasm ?? Moi I can be when pushed, and to think that people feel they need to lay low - what the hell from. I'm a 40 something wife and mother looking for a distraction at night whilst my kids are asleep and the hubby is still at work. Seems I mad a mistake coming here to ask questions but hey this could be as stimulating as MLM, but it's not going to make me any picket money. My reference to Guns comes from watching too much Riss Kemp on TV, he's spend a lot of the time in the ghetto's and I was being given the impression that that's what it would be like if I joined Tropic. On another point can I ask what are everyone's feelings on the pop up adverts (sponsoring MN) suggesting I should buy Estée Lauder Face creams, if I click on it and buy some have I been sucked into a scheme ??

Twunk · 01/05/2016 18:56

Why did you come to a thread that campaigns against MLMs for a "2 sided opinion"? Surely that's an odd thing to do. Which is why I am firmly of the opinion you are simply trolling.

cozietoesie · 01/05/2016 19:03

I'm glad you've reached a decision, anyway. You seemed to be more than a little anxious about the whole thing. Smile

peaner · 01/05/2016 19:03

I agree with Trunk, I don't post often but read every thread.

I'm baffled - where on earth did you get the idea that these threads were for "2 sided debates"?! It's very clear from the outset what their purpose is.

My JP bots have been attending the Irish conference and they're all hyped up again, it's great fun altogether.

DoTheMLMHustle · 01/05/2016 19:04

Tojoin come off it, you went from musing over which MLM to choose from to finding a bot to sell you a welcome box in just a few minutes!

Luckily Botfan was able to give some balanced advice, which was lucky. I'd ask for some mindset training from them.

Not very good trolling 2/10

BeckyMcDonald · 01/05/2016 19:06

Tojokn this is not a balanced thread. It's set up to provide balance to the onslaught of utter bullshit that fills our social media every day. If a bot tells us we can earn a six figure income by working part-time, then we debunk that myth. They tell us their side, we tell them our side.

We're the see to the bots' saw.

And if you buy Estée Lauder I'm doubting that someone will tell you it's going to cure cancer and then, completely unsolicited, try to recruit you to sell Estée Lauder. So no, you won't have been sucked into a scheme.
