I hereby christen you "balancedbot"

I think you are somewhat disingenuous.

cozietoesie · 01/05/2016 15:53

I look forward to your return, Tojoin. Smile

BSintolerant · 01/05/2016 16:00

Who's next on the rota? Grin

prettyusefulsometimes · 01/05/2016 16:00

Tojoin - don't forget to ask your potential up line (she'll be your BFF by the end of the meeting Smile )

How much to join?
When might you recoup that cost?
How many other Tropic recruits are in your sales area?
How many hours a week does a recruit need to work?
What other costs are involved?
How many recruits quit after 6 months / year?
Have any Tropic bots retired on their residual income?
If you join don't forget to register with HMRC as self employed / update any tax credit entitlement.

Nolongerconfused · 01/05/2016 16:04

I smell a distraction technique - anyone else?

Melaw21 · 01/05/2016 16:05

Good luck tojoin may you and your upline live happily ever after, in a glistening world of contoured eyebrows and giant cheques. Glad we helped you to make your decision one way or the other. Thats the beauty of research it gives you choices. To nick a well known bot phrase, anti mlm is not for everyone hun ;-)

Take care, best of luck to you x

Twunk · 01/05/2016 16:10

Nolonger really? Shock

Wink
kamchatka23 · 01/05/2016 16:12

"They aren't being held at gunpoint" seems to be a very popular argument for both bots and prospective bots. Strange...

PMmeHun · 01/05/2016 16:14

Let me guess tojoin is really already in tropic and has that first flush of enthusiasm where they've made a few sales and haven't yet pissed off all their family and friends and think the only way is up and are going to prove us haters wrong. Haven't we heard that same old story time and time again.

Twunk · 01/05/2016 16:15

Like that's the conditions needed for a balanced, well-informed decision: "not held at gunpoint"

Or alternatively: not given the full truth, recruited by someone with a massive (not even ulterior) motivation to lie, a lot of wishful thinking....etc etc etc. Under those circumstances obviously people make fantastic decisions!

cozietoesie · 01/05/2016 16:16

Not so strange, kamchatka. There are laws about actions taken under gunpoint. Smile

kamchatka23 · 01/05/2016 16:18

Indeed. I just noticed it was a favourite phrase of our simian friend, and some of their later incarnations.

BSintolerant · 01/05/2016 16:21

cozie are those the same laws which govern the use of crossbows, lightsabres and the Evil Eye? Wink

cozietoesie · 01/05/2016 16:25

Gosh. They have laws on those? Grin

BSintolerant · 01/05/2016 16:31

Yeah, I have to wear suglasses whenever I go out because I'm considered a danger to the public. Wink

darceybussell · 01/05/2016 16:33

Haha yes somehow I'm not convinced that tojoin is really someone who is wondering about joining tropic. People don't just come out with the 'gun point' line by themselves. This gets weirder doesn't it. Sorry delurker, seenthelight and confused, I have a feeling some of this weirdness might be happening because you guys came along!

DoTheMLMHustle · 01/05/2016 16:34

Tojoin you have a very strange style of writing: from being totally naive and not knowing any of the terminology, to being totally sold on joining and talking about nicknames. Hmm

It's almost as if you were being a bit, less than straightforward. But that's just me being cynical, perhaps

hashtagwinning · 01/05/2016 16:34

Been having a busy afternoon so bit late replying. Anyway saw someone mention temple spa they are sold in stores and online without needing a consultant. You can buy t off the shelf in harrods and a beauty blogger who refuses to review mlm products did a whole post with coupon code for them. Please someone correct me if wrong. They're cleaning balm is lush , would hate to be let down by them!

disingenuous Translate Button
[dis-in-jen-yoo-uh s]
adjective
1.
lacking in frankness, candor, or sincerity; falsely or hypocritically ingenuous; insincere:
Her excuse was rather disingenuous.

I'm deeply offended Hun, and to make things absolutely clear I am not already a Tropic distributor as I said earlier meeting with someone soon, just waiting in Starbucks with a skinny Latte and a muffin.

Nolongerconfused · 01/05/2016 16:51

Sorry guys I fear we are maddening the tip of the pyramid. If you guys like I could lay low for a while.

PMmeHun · 01/05/2016 16:52

That's exactly what they want! Do stick around the thread is richer for your contributions.

DoTheMLMHustle · 01/05/2016 16:55

Don't you dare Nolonger that would be exactly what they want. I'm sure the MLM's have tried to get these threads pulled, along with the Facebook pages. Eyes was a casualty, but we mustn't let them make us feel intimidated.

Delurker2016 · 01/05/2016 16:57

I am so insulted by tojoin actually.
Please don't think for one minute that you have any idea as to why some of us remain private.
It might be due to the absolute social suicide it would be yo actually show your name.
It might be due to the atrocities we have already faced.
It may be due to our families and friends being so worried about us because of what we faced that they come and stay with us just to allow us to break our hearts on their shoulders. That the sleepless nights, the fact I almost lost my relationship because of these 'friends' actually turned out to be an absolute farce.
Your sarcasm is not only rude but unnecessary. If you have read all the other posts, which I believe you have as your knowledge has suddenly increased in 2 hours, then you will have seen what some of us have endured, and if you have a heart and a conscience, then you would not be so rude, you would be empathetic towards people, regardless.
Don't dare laugh that we hide behind nicknames, you have no idea what you're talking about or what we have been through.

Sorry guys, it has made me annoyed and my friends who are reading tojoins comments. Until you live through it don't dare ever try to insinuate that we are just people who failed.

Twunk · 01/05/2016 16:59

These tactics are incredibly revealing. Don't you go anywhere NoLonger unless you need a break (we all do sometimes)

Toobusytowee · 01/05/2016 16:59

I read a Netmums thread a while ago. On it they were discussing MLMs and were deciding it was a bad idea. Then along came someone who wasn't sure, decided to join anyway and came back all happy and glowing and loving it. Sounds like it is happening again. Very dubious.

New joiners to the thread, please don't leave.
