And, swearing is occasionally therapeutic. Churlish yes, but therapeutic nonetheless... So if you are angry at #scammymcscamfaces like me, then go right ahead, you wont offend me, or other grown ups on here.... We dont blame you, mlm and associated troll apologists are frankly rage inducing. ;-)

Botfan63 · 30/04/2016 17:37

you have to educate them by trolling successful people, giving them derogatory bot names and having a cheese bitch fest.

Some mighty fine education standards there let me go print you a college degree

Twunk · 30/04/2016 17:37

I like cheese toasties. I butter both sides and cook them in a pan. Nectar of the gods.

DoTheMLMHustle · 30/04/2016 17:40

Typical troll behaviour Melaw, they don't engage when you ask something, they post DRIVEL about us bullies exposing the bullies, then they wait for something to pounce on. Like it proves their point

Can you imagine having to deal with this kind of fuckwittery on a daily basis if they were your upline? You'd be banging your head against the wall wouldn't you!

Melaw21 · 30/04/2016 17:40

Hey... That brings us back to the old fave, what can you cook in a toastie maker convo doesnt it? That was fascinating! 🤔

DoTheMLMHustle · 30/04/2016 17:43

Imagine if you'd gone on a trip and this kind of fuckwit invited themselves along. You'd be thinking just fuck off you hanger on, you're not even in an MLM, why are you even here? I imagine Grin

DoTheMLMHustle · 30/04/2016 17:45

I confess that I used my new toastie maker about 5 tiles a day, for about a week!

I could make some pancakes later they are lovely in the toasty maker

I did use up some I'd ds2's Easter eggs in them, that was lovely

Melaw21 · 30/04/2016 17:46

😂😂😂😂😂 Dothehustle surprise!! 😂😂😂🔫

Botfan63 · 30/04/2016 17:46

Touché MLMhustle don't recall anyone engaging In an MLM discussion here? Or asking any questions of substance just a load of what is it you call it now ? no I won't lower the tone I'll leave that to you lot you are so eloquent at it

Your toaster and cheese conversations make a it more sense than your bot bashing ones!

BSintolerant · 30/04/2016 17:48

buttfan Do they use commas in your country or did Franco have them all shot? Grin

I was only monkeying around. Can't you take a joke?

And on a serious note, a man was once hanged by a comma. www.irishhistorycompressed.com/significant-commas-in-irish-history/

Could have been worse, I suppose.

I, for one, am extremely grateful for these threads, which I found by googling after being concerned by the personality transplant that had happened to someone I know who is on maternity leave and has been recruited into Forever Living. I could not understand what was going on with her; such peculiar phrases such as 'sack the boss', rang alarm bells.

I had no idea what an MLM was and by finding this thread I have been able to become informed and now feel able to warn people about what they are getting into if they mention one of the MLMs as an amazing business opportunity

Sadly the person I was worried about has blocked me and I don't know how she is doing.

I now have a Nuskin bit and a Younique bot. The similarities between all of these MLMs is striking. They clog up my timeline with super positive cloying memes and exhortations to 'join me/ join my team'

Obviously a lot goes on in closed or secret FB groups to reinforce the message and keep 'business owners' toeing the line.

I find the whole cultish; the language used, the cutting and pasting of positive messages, the refusal to engage with anyone who isn't a believer, the adoration of those at the top, the quasi religious rallies, the insistence that you attend 'training' (brainwashing), the expectation that you must be evangelical (sell the 'opportunity' to everyone you know/ meet)

Botfan63 · 30/04/2016 17:54

Interesting you refer to your friend as a person then flick to Bot - do you not find this derogatory towards your friend ?

I find the language used on here bizarre.

BS keep searching wrong country completely off piste and to be perfectly frank are you part of the punctuation police too? What a load of BS!

DoTheMLMHustle · 30/04/2016 17:54

There's a bot I follow on FB who was treated appallingly, bullied, cut off - her business ruined overnight by one of the big names. Nice to see her happy and enjoying life again, she's still slightly bitter, but who could blame her?

If she's reading, cheers!

Botfan63 · 30/04/2016 17:56

I'm off to bed its early hours here catch you when your sleeping or staying up late

Twunk · 30/04/2016 17:58

Not being positive, professional and polite though are you Botfan? Probably not much point though as you are no going to have any luck sucking us in.

Remember, you are always representing Sexy Rexy. Like a creepy Santa Claus he is always watching you.

We are not obliged to be anything! There is general chat, there's analysis, and there's dealing with Trolls.

Spongebobette · 30/04/2016 17:58

Bot is used advisedly as shorthand for someone who no longer speaks/ writes in their own voice, who posts endlessly on FB using buzz words and phrases, and who copies and pastes rubbishy memes.

DoTheMLMHustle · 30/04/2016 18:01

The troll is like one of those creepy hangers on in the pub, who keeps trying to join in with the conversation but gets it wrong. Who doesn't see that no one is actually talking to them because they're full of crap.

Loving the 'creepy Santa Clause'
Shall we all Post here at 4am so no one can argue with us!

DoTheMLMHustle · 30/04/2016 18:04

'You're all being bitches'

Twunk · 30/04/2016 18:06

I'm happy to be a Mumsnetbot

cozietoesie · 30/04/2016 18:06

I've remembered that one of the blogs linked to in the second post of this thread actually has an article on BOZ. I'll try to relink it for people to read.

BSintolerant · 30/04/2016 18:09

Off piste ... I think someone's on the piste, constantly.

Cheddar with gin, anyone?!

Patzy85 · 30/04/2016 18:10

Bot isn't an offensive term. It isn't even our term. Remember AmBots etc.

It's like calling a mechanic a grease monkey.

It isn't derogatory, it's a descriptive term derived from the scripted communication used by MLMers to draft. If you don't like it I suppose you can find out who came up with it in the 80s and take it up with them. Ex-bots use it here, they're not upset about it. Why are you so uptight if you're 'just a fan' anyways?

cozietoesie · 30/04/2016 18:16

The second article in, I think.

Here is the link.

If it works.

darceybussell · 30/04/2016 18:27

Well that was weird - these more recent bot visitors have all been a bit odd haven't they, the earlier ones were at least coherent and came and and made their point sensibly, these more recent ones have all been bizarre!

Twunk · 30/04/2016 18:35

It's YOUR fault darcey - you're not reading it right. Grin
