I honestly don't know much about Amway. Eyes knows a lot about that as they tore his family apart. But how about you do some googling to find out?

Toobusytowee · 30/04/2016 16:26

If any exbots would like to send me lists of reality vs the promise, that would be great. I already have a couple of lists- how time is spent and how much things cost. Any more would be gratefully received. I am going to order them into a blog post so that people thinking of joining can see what the reality will be.

Any MLM will do, they all seem to be the same. I will not say who you are.

I'm hoping the post will put prospects off.

Photos would be brilliant too- stockpiles of products, a full calendar, screenshots of unsupportive uplines (names will be obscured), payslip amounts.

Thanks in advance.

Also, ex bots and people with family/ partners/ close friends who are in deep, the documentary makers are still looking for people to talk to to get information- they are not intending on filming yet, they are just researching and you could really help them.

BSintolerant · 30/04/2016 16:29

Curious my interest is Amway like Eyes I have history there but you all seem fixated on FL crack ...

Forever Living crack? Watch out buttfan, that's libel, that is. I hope their lawyers are keeping an eye on you. Wink

Seenthelight21 · 30/04/2016 16:31

This is hilarious!

Botfan63 · 30/04/2016 16:31

What is libel ? Telling you to crack on discussing FL seriously go check what libel is and come back you may be high on your own BS

Good point Hustle

A troll bot's appearance is definitely indicative.

Melaw21 · 30/04/2016 16:42

Agrred hustle Im off for a cheese toastie then.... Btw bot thats grilled cheese in the US and croque monsieur in europe, just covering all bases, so you will know what to order next time you are in 'our capital'.

BSintolerant · 30/04/2016 16:42

Google 'libel laws in England and Wales' which is the jurisdiction FL would use to pursue you (as Mumsnet is based in what you call "Our Capital"). The law has long arms and can reach people who reside in sunnier climes.

You've clearly stated above, in your own post that we're "fixated on FL crack."

You're clearly accusing Forever Living of producing crack, which is a highly addictive, illegal substance which wrecks lives (at least that's what my former upline told me). If that's not libellous, I'll wank a cactus! Grin

The only thing I'm high on is Eau d'Ordure, lovingly distilled from your posts. Flowers

Botfan63 · 30/04/2016 16:47

MLMhuustle stop muddying the waters of good information then with BS bot hunting

Real actual debt - you mean like actual investment finding in a start up company? Where is LMGTFY when you need them? Do you have any concept of how much investment is made in startup businesses most of which fail in the first 2-3 years but hey do they start a butch fest thread and cry parslaii ? Nope don't think so the learn and move on.

Botfan63 · 30/04/2016 16:51

Be careful not to make yourself look foolish here BS, don't try to twist written text which is there for all to read

Doesn't take a genius to realise that is going to fall flat on it face shortly though does it? Curious my interest is Amway like Eyes I have history there but you all seem fixated on FL crack on not my company nothing to defend. My point was the discussion had moved towards individuals not the marketing plans so yes it did appear to be a bitch fest. Ok let's talk FL as your not apparently interested in Amway now trading in the UK

Think anyone who can read plainEnglish can see it says Crack on as in carry on. You are all into this weird word twisting nonsense aren't you?

Botfan63 · 30/04/2016 16:54

gold luck with that cactus !

PMmeHun · 30/04/2016 16:55

I'm guessing that after 20,000+ posts these threads score very highly in Google when people are researching joining a MLM. Thanks botfan for your help there.

worcestersauce29 · 30/04/2016 16:55

Oh Botfan.......but you're not writing in plain english are you? A full stop here, an apostrophe there makes all the difference ;)

Cosmiccreepers203 · 30/04/2016 16:56

On another note: my cousin seems to have gone quiet about Nuskin. However, it does look like a number of her friends have signed up. This is worrying as they are all girls in their early twenties with not much money. If they rack up debt now in an MLM it will have a massively negative effect on the rest of their life. This is such obvious exploitation. It is scary.

There is pretty much an MLM for every vulnerable group, isn't there?

What makes me really mad is the argument by apologists that people know what they're getting into: no they don't. Unless they are given the facts about average earnings and the failure rate of these franchise businesses very clearly from the beginning. If it's not a scam then why would that be a problem?

People need to know that it is statistically very unlikely that they will ever see an overall profit- no matter how hard they work or clever they are. Anyone who thinks otherwise is highly immoral and essentially a bad person.

RaeSkywalker · 30/04/2016 16:59

As someone who also came to these threads 'sitting on the fence' I have been impressed by the intelligent, passionate, well-researched, articulate, easy to follow anti-MLM arguments of posters on this thread.

botfan, you're wheeling out the same, tired, flawed rhetoric that has been seen and responded to countless times on these threads. Please feel free to continue though, you're doing a wonderful job of re-enforcing everything I already think about MLMs.

Botfan63 · 30/04/2016 17:00

Your welcome PMmeHUN

Worcestersauce a twisted sentence here and there too makes all the difference doesn't it? oh and let's not forget abuse of a few successful people to keep the thread moving it gets tiring when you only discuss the real topic the thread is meant to cover 😏

RaeSkywalker · 30/04/2016 17:01

worcester thank you for saying what I was thinking! I'm desperate to get my red pen out and mark it all Grin

Melaw21 · 30/04/2016 17:04

Exactly, like tobacco... Yes there are warnings now, but only after much work from pressure groups and studies have been done over many years to publicise the now well known dangers. I view mlm adherents a bit like early/mid 20th century smokers, they were told it was good for them, would make them look sophisticated, change their lives etc.... We now ALL know different, but only because small groups like this had the kahunas to speak out and delve deeper against the tobacco behmoths... It was a fight and a struggle but they got there.

We want at least the same for mlms, for peope to truly have a choice and be given CLEAR obvious warnings about the risk so they really do know what they are getting into, not the bullshit lie they are sold. No smiling stock photos, ridiculous cheque giving events and constant subterfuge, no bullying, awful healthclaims and pretending not to be a pyramid.

Botfan63 · 30/04/2016 17:05

This thread is reinforcing my belief it's just a bitch fest hardly ever on piste and always looking for a bot to bitch about. Ex bots come here for support and get encouraged to spill the beans on their up lines and confirm their bot names - wonderful job you guys very intelligent, passionate, well researched 😂 easy to follow (sometimes some aren't that good with Google and bot names) please send me the video I have no idea 😏😏😏

Melaw21 · 30/04/2016 17:11

Apologies for the slight troll interference on your screens there viewers, let me just repost my post so it doesnt dissapear in a "sea of ordure" (thats for you BS 😂)

'Behemoths'

DoTheMLMHustle · 30/04/2016 17:15

That's it isn't it Melaw, if people could see exactly what they were really signing up to, they might think twice. The lovely ex bot's here have stayed very clearly the pressure put on them to make their 4cc's.

If you started your own business you would conclude that you needed to find a niche in the market, who in their right mind would set up selling something half your town are already selling?
You'd be able to market your business in the way you chose, eBay or wherever, for the profit you had worked out for yourself
You wouldn't attend pointless shizzles and training that cost you money, you just wouldn't.
And you wouldn't have to watch others in the same business rubbing your nose in it that they were succeeding, based in your failure
MLM's aren't a business, people aren't business owners.

Botfan63 · 30/04/2016 17:21

And you wouldn't have to watch others in the same business rubbing your nose in it that they were succeeding, based in your failure

Very insightful you do admit then people succeed and people fail and it's based on their failure not someone else's ? if only they had to read a whole legal document explaining the marketing plan and what they were signing up to and actually read the company policy in their legal cool off period like you would if you were entering into a normal business relationship then there wouldn't be any misunderstanding, if only people didn't think MLMs were get rich quick schemes if only

Melaw21 · 30/04/2016 17:32

The reality is, if we want people to stop
Being scammed, we have to educate them, we are going to encounter a troll "tsunami" every once in a while, but it just serves to reinforce the murkiness that lies beneath the smiling surface. Keep up the good work timeless bots, exbots, botwatchbots, eyesbots, warriorbots, mumsnetbots and lurkerbots!

Btw... Cheese toasties are delicious!
