Stopfaffing - it all depends really on how you would define successful. I like to think so by my own measure of success - no worries

Melaw21 · 30/04/2016 10:19

Oh, and I forgot the standard response...

Lets all just go home then, chimps/notyourfanboy/botfan63 has clarified that everything looks OK hun x

Nolongerconfused · 30/04/2016 10:23

See the thing is BotFan that you need to tell your bots to stop telling people when they recruit them that it's easy and anyone can do it! Also when they post on social media telling everyone they work 10 hours per week and work it around their families it's lies! Maybe encourage them to post saying "major sacrifices to make, long hours, reduced family time and no guarantee you will earn anything"

Fullyloaded1 · 30/04/2016 10:24

If I were in 5k's downline .....id be like WTF !!! That cheque would b a huge red flag for me !! How's she going to keep reeling people in with her fraudulent lies after that pathetic pay out

cozietoesie · 30/04/2016 10:27

Did anyone manage to find the link for the Tribeca Film Festival review of BOZ? Smile

Fullyloaded1 · 30/04/2016 10:28

All those hours flogging a dead horse ....+ to b handed a 5k cheque so publicly ...how humiliating

Twunk · 30/04/2016 10:31

Honest MLM advert

Over 99% of MLM adherents don't make any money and most lose money

You will be expected to attend tedious training days

Expect to be bullied by your up line

Expect to sell products and recruit people in a saturated market

Products are overpriced and available on eBay

Expect to work long hours at considerably less than minimum wage (if you aren't actually losing money)

Piss of your family and friends, never be able to relax as constantly seeking opportunities for recruitment

Be in a pyramid scheme

Melaw21 · 30/04/2016 10:32

Cozie... That film is going to be a huuuge problem for mlms by the sound of things, a bit like the massive pr disaster that 'goingclear' was to the scientology community. I am very much looking forward to its release.

Nolongerconfused · 30/04/2016 10:32

Anyone been to Lanzarote? I'm thinking of going. Believe the weather is nice at this time of year?

Melaw21 · 30/04/2016 10:33

twunk sign me up, that sounds like my dream job!

Twunk · 30/04/2016 10:35

Oh and I forgot, suspend all critical thinking in the name of "mindset"

Twunk · 30/04/2016 10:36

I've not been nolonger - is it nice?

DoTheMLMHustle · 30/04/2016 10:44

Botfan you said you were in an MLM

'wish I'd known sooner I'd would of stuck with 70hours per week for £34k instead of financial freedom I have now oh well harsh lesson for me I guess must research more next time and listen to threads like this? '

If not then what does the above mean?

You know full well that employers don't have to state that you could earn more elsewhere, people already know this, they DO have to tell you the salary and you are guaranteed to be paid that. MLM's are supposed to put a disclaimer on any recruiting advert stating that you might not earn what's quoted.

Forever Living doesn't publish their bot's average earnings, other MLMs do.

Nolongerconfused · 30/04/2016 10:45

There's a big aloe plantation there. Might go and check it out.

cozietoesie · 30/04/2016 10:45

I am anticipating its more general release also, Melaw. Smile

Twunk · 30/04/2016 10:46

I think even Botfan doesn't know who s/he is Grin

Seenthelight21 · 30/04/2016 10:50

At the end of the day Everyone is entitled to an opinion. Its places like this where people can say what they feel
I do wish I could say my peace about my experiences being who I am in real life but I know the consequences of doing so.

So I have to accept this as my only outlet while I try to move on with my life.

I don't agree with targeting individual people& some of the things were said in jest.
People that put themselves out there so publicly like that need to accept some form of feedback/criticism both positive and negative

No one seems to talk about the bullying that goes on in FLP!?
Even though things are reported to HO nothing is ever done!
As long as that person is making money for the company they are okay and free to abuse new people!

Constant harassment from upline and being told you need to work harder causes people stress.

How people market the opportunity is very different to the reality
I have been in the reality I know!!!!!
I know how hard I worked to get to Manager... I know the constant pressure I was under
My family experienced it too!

Are the end of the day people have a choice some people are happy to work in those kind of environments and fair play to them

This forum.was set up to make people aware of the issues with mlm so people can see balanced opinions... what they hear from their prospective sponsor and people who have experienced the reality

DoTheMLMHustle · 30/04/2016 10:56

It's pretty patronising of someone to come on here and tell the ex FL managers that they're wrong.

olafisking · 30/04/2016 11:01

The double think from adherents like Botfan is mind boggling. It's fine to advertise the job as full time wage for part time hours but people have to understand that to earn money in MLM you have to work hard and put in long hours. Is there some reason that I can see the disconnect and they can't?

DoTheMLMHustle · 30/04/2016 11:02

What do you have to say to Seenthelight and Confused and Deluker Botfan?

Because unless you are in FL or another MLM how could you know what actually goes on? And if you are as I suspect actually in FL then you know full well that it's true what they, and many others, say.

BSintolerant · 30/04/2016 11:08

dothemlmhustle Buttfan is doing an anaaayyyyzzzzing job gracing us with his presence. Forever Living must be highly delighted to have yet another articulate, intelligent, well-informed emplyee (business owner, my arse!) engaging with us on these threads.

Feta with olives, anyone? Grin

Twunk · 30/04/2016 11:12

Olafisking
people have to understand that to earn money in MLM you have to work hard and put in long hours

Agreed but that isn't any guarantee of success, or of earning any money at all, especially when you're paying it out again hand over fist!

"Success" days
Mindset training
Buying products to keep your 4 CCs
Travel and petrol and car upkeep
Faking it until you make it
Website fees
Your soul

Nolongerconfused · 30/04/2016 11:12

Dothemlmhustle BotFan seems to ignore my comments but she did say that disgruntled ex bots failed because we didn't get up early and work late and we spent our time spamming FB apparently oh and we didn't stick it out for long enough (3-5 years is considered long enough to make it work).

Delurker2016 · 30/04/2016 11:13

It frustrates me that they seem to be offended that they are being targeted. I wonder if we asked fbos how many of them ever felt targeted by top bots the number would be staggering.
The revelations that have come out the past week are the realisation of FLP. If mine or any of our stories stops someone from suffering how I and I know many did then I'm happy with that.

Twunk · 30/04/2016 11:23

I see this thread as one of the very few public voices of reason against a remarkable onslaught of MLMs. So naturally it's the target for a whole load of "you're not being balanced!" Criticism. This criticism is unfair for 3 reasons: firstly the bots do not allow "negativity" on their own public and private posts. Secondly it's a public forum and anyone can post! Thirdly, and most importantly, *there is no positive "side" to MLMs. Pyramid schemes are not positive things!
