cozietoesie I think it helps to look at the history of the 'MLM' version of the cult phenomenon, in order to predict how it will evolve. It's also helpful to think of 'MLM' cults like different denominations of essentially the same exploitative 'Prosperity Gospel' religion.
This criminogenic phenomenon has been extremely profitable, and because it has been largely ignored by the media and law enforcement, it has lately exploded to global pandemic proportions. More and more MLM mobs are appearing all the time, but they are all essentially copy-cats of the 'Amway Nutrilite' prototype.
The original 'Nutrilite Mytinger and Casselberry MLM/Direct Selling' cultic racket (instigated in the 1940s) never spred out side of the USA. It was almost closed in the mid 1950s by the FDA, because of making bogus medical claims in the face of Supreme Court rulings, but two 'Nutrilite' under-bosses split away and created the 'American Way Association' later to become known as 'Amway' which was initially hidden behind household cleaning products to avoid FDA investigation. 'Nutrilite' survived by the skin of its teeth and was quiet through the 1960s, but was absorbed into 'Amway' in the 1970s. 'Amway' was the first 'MLM' cult to go global.
'MLM' cults have rarely been absorbed into other groups. What has happened, is that they have fragmented and multiplied like viruses or cancers. 'MLM' shills have learnt their twisted trade in one group and then gone on to instigate their own groups, but we still don't know who really controls the profits.
'Ariix' has emerged out of 'USANA,' but 'Ariix' seems to have been specifically designed to round up 'MLM' shills from older groups like 'FLP' which are facing the loss of their monopolies of information.
