Iamnotdarling, I looked at that FB page, she is selling Malika cosmetics, a British MLM. Set to go global this year. Apparently.

WonderousStories · 08/02/2016 14:45

oh how i love it when Bots block me .....yes i am looking at you LH....and your squillion pound mortgage.....

all i said was your mathematics didnt seem to add up .....

IAmNotDarling · 08/02/2016 14:45

I've just reported it to the ASA.

Eyespying · 08/02/2016 14:45

cozietoesie The enemy of all cults is external reality.

Anyone challenging a 'MLM' cult fairy story has initially been systematically excluded and condemned by the story as being completely ignorant, a negative, a loser, a whiner, an anti-capitalist, a hater, someone with an ulterior motive like jealousy, etc. etc.

Ultimately, in extreme 'Properity Gospel' groups like 'Amway' and 'FLP,' the most determined challengers have become seen as the agents of Satan, but you have to climb quite high in pyramid before explicitly 'religious' terminology is employed.

Some one trying to convince others!

Lovewineandchocs · 08/02/2016 15:31

long
What you said about cults is the same sort of thing-not so much looking for answers to life's big questions as solutions to life's problems-need more time? Need more money? Need new friends? We have the answers! Now I don't know if you've ever watched one of their videos, but please do watch one and imagine that you are stony broke, depressed, in debt, hating your job or perhaps all of these things. Then someone presents you with a supposed way out of these things, or perhaps you see a friend on FB talking about how she is going on holiday with her extra cash-you want to believe that this is possible. So yes, stupid and greedy are extremely harsh terms to use, please try to have a bit of empathy. Remember someone making a TV programme about these schemes actually ended up joining one-was it Amway? So no-one is immune.

Lovewineandchocs · 08/02/2016 15:40

BS

Just to say that's not quite true. In Flp you need 120ccs over 2 consecutive months, so 5 people could get that but more likely you would need to have hoodwinked at least 15 people into joining your team Grin #itsanumbersgame #goforno

Lovewineandchocs · 08/02/2016 15:41

120ccs to become "manager" I meant to say

cozietoesie · 08/02/2016 15:42

My brain just freezes at all of these numbers. 'twas ever a problem I had. Grin

BSintolerant · 08/02/2016 15:44

Sorry, I've got it arse about face about what it takes to become a manager. It's all here, and there are some gems in this doc so brace yourselves!

www.foreverknowledge.info/index.php?id=40399

sminkypink · 08/02/2016 15:54

120 ccs, a swimming pool of #aloeshite or a scam of bots or a combination of the two.

BSintolerant · 08/02/2016 15:57

lovewineandchocs - looks like our messages have crossed! Yes, of course you're right.

I seem to recall that in one of the training videos they simplified it by saying that in theory if you recruited 5 people and they brought in X ccs, etc you too could have one of those much sought after manager sashes. Wink

They know how to make things look straightforward and achievable, don't they?

Tupperwarelid · 08/02/2016 16:07

Been invited to 2 separate on line fl parties this week. They obviously need to hit those February cc targets.

Lovewineandchocs · 08/02/2016 16:08

BS
Absolutely, that's how they get you! 😀 I remember thinking it was 5 people you needed as well, so I must have watched the same training video! 😀 it was only by sitting and going through the policy handbook that I realised how hard you would really have to work/how good you would have to be at hoodwinking people to achieve this 😀

rayofhope · 08/02/2016 16:17

Yea if it was as easy as 5 people that would be great Shock I was told on average it takes 15-23 people (but closer to 23 unless they get the vision) in your team to go manager. If you're put on the '5 months to manager' programme they then figure in a 50% drop out so you can still achieve it.......

Most popular programme is do your 1cc retail at the beginning of the month (through your ID) then you have the rest of the month to concentrate on recruiting a minimum of 2 people. Then train everyone else in your team to do the same. But the super duper top people like to brag that they like to recruit a min of 3-5 people per month. If you haven't done your 1cc at the beginning of the month how can you expect your team to do the same?

I love how it's always worded 'I have 5 places this month to work closely with people who wanting to earn an extra income. 3 of these spaces have already been filled up so be quick to get the last 2' etc. But behind the scenes they haven't actually recruited anyone (not every month anyway) smoke and mirror, smoke and mirrors

rayofhope · 08/02/2016 16:18

Opps sorry about the terrible wording. I typed it out too quickly

cozietoesie · 08/02/2016 16:26

Not at all - I understood the post just fine. Unfortunately.

xenu1 · 08/02/2016 16:32

eyespying I don't want to hijack this thread and may well visit your webpage to discuss. But you do come out with some sweeping statements:
"L. Ron Hubbard simply took the Christian myth and translated it into 1950s comic-book, science-fiction terminology, complete with Good and Evil Inter-Gallactic Rulers, instead of God and the Devil. He first peddled 'salvation' as a new science of the mind, Dianetics, but when he faced investigation, Hubbard created a Church and began peddling a so-called 'Self-Betterment Spritual Technology' which he pretended could turn ordinary humans into superhumans. "

Hubbard invented Dianetics (DIY psychotherapy. Nothing about Gods or spirits. Engrams were from birth or just before). He lost control of it when he went bankrupt. He started Scientology because he could control it. Anyone could practice Dianetics, but $cn was a trademarked (ever-expanding!) set of techniques that could only be performed by authorised practitioners, $cn went into past lives and Xenu (yes, my avatar :)) the evil Space Overlord and implanted souls. I don't think FL is the same and tho Amway pushes God in the Bible belt MLMs and religious cults do differ - tho they use the same mind-control techniques

(and did Jim Jones sexually abuse children? He preyed on his flock but AFAIK was no pedo)

lastuseraccount123 · 08/02/2016 16:36

whatever losers. you might all get sucked into an MLM but I won't cos I got the secret weapon....

.....dark hair.

j/kidding. HEY FOREVER LIVING LAWYERS!! just wanted to do my regular thread shout out.

WonderousStories · 08/02/2016 16:37

Standing by your side lastuseraccount

I also say howdy to EC et al ... We know you are watching

Wardy1993 · 08/02/2016 16:38

Hello major lurker here!

I wondered what this all meant and after reading I think I may know a 'bot' but I didn't realise it was this bad!

Let's call her Gigi

Her business is called 'Gigi's beauty delights' - could this be related to any particular pyramid scheme in your opinion? I am unable to gather any more information because she is on my husbands Facebook and I don't have Facebook. I have been concerned for a while that she has turned a bit strange as she is always trying to sell mud masks to all the women she knows. She had a baby last year and quit her job to do this properly and I just worry that it is a con or something Shock

WonderousStories · 08/02/2016 16:38

And I am immune too - cos I am ginger

BSintolerant · 08/02/2016 16:45

Ray please don't apologise- there's nothing wrong with your wording. Smile

You're dead right: it's all smoke and mirrors, fur coat no knickers, gas and gaiters (but they've probably got an aloe cure for the gas). They're manipulative buggers expecting you to put your 1cc through first - the cheek!

The more I read on these threads, the more I sit here shaking my head in utter disbelief.

Did you see the Penn and Teller short video on mlm schemes which someone posted earlier on in the thread? It was entertaining, disturbing and depressing all at once. I pity the poor souls who've been sucked in thinking their lives will be changed for the better. Sad One guy admitted he was $1500 dollars worse off after only being in the business for a few weeks - and working very long hours.

I hope my friend sees the light before she wastes any more money.

lastuseraccount123 · 08/02/2016 16:46

yeah, they don't want gingers fouling up the place.

HI CS!! deleted the whole world off your FB yet? Grin j/kidding.

btw, whenever you are ready to leave, we will support you. seriously.

lastuseraccount123 · 08/02/2016 16:48

I know BS . lights a tealight for all those we have lost to MLMs Sad
