Summer Book Swap?

Following on from the chat about blind dates with books, speak up here if you fancy doing a book swap.

The person who sends books to me has (for very understandable reasons) not been able to join in with the swap recently. This is absolutely fine with me as I have a huge pile of books to read. But to keep things going in group 2 there is a new book labelled Book A which I have just posted on.

This may cause utter chaos or it may solve the problem!!! If anyone ends up with 2 books and doesn’t want the extra one please send it to a charity shop.

Hope you have all enjoyed your books and are ready to swap again next week? I am in touch with Etihad and the people before her in the chain to sort out the missing book. Hope everyone else got theirs OK as I didn't heard of any problems.

Don't forget to post a review, and also pop back to the threads for the books you have reviewed previously - as other people get the chance to read them hopefully there will be more opportunity for discussion :)

I'm sorry I'm going to be a bit late posting this month. Lots of distractions and things have delayed me. Post as soon as I can!

I haven’t been able to finish my book this month - I didn’t receive it until the middle of the month and just haven’t had time to read it in 2 weeks.

I was going to post it on anyway but then seen previous poster.

I don’t want to get all militant as I think the book swap is a really nice thing to do but I don’t think it’s going to work if people keep sending their books late.

I know that life gets in the way and a couple of days late should be ok but it’s difficult to finish a book in just a few weeks.

Just interested in what other people think.

I've just posted mine on today. Finished it a while ago. I would prefer to get the books by the 1st week of the month if I have any hope it finishing it.

@Fizzywinegum point taken and agreed with. I will post my book asap as it will have a knock on affect.

I'm actually going to cheat . I've bought August's loan book on kindle and finish it that way.
