Recurrent Buns Graduates - Pregnancy and Beyond

Thought it was about time we had a new home for all those lovely ladies who used to frequent the original Recurrent Buns thread, or anyone else who has been through the hideous journey of miscarriage, recurrent miscarriage, infertility, testing etc. and now finds themselves either pregnant and in need of hand-holding (or better yet) with their long-awaited bundle(s) of joy.

I know it perhaps seems a little inappropriate to start a thread in the miscarriage topic but it still seems the most relevant spot for those of us who haven't yet completed the journey - and nowhere else really seemed right or fair to everyone.

I do hope you'll come along and say hello. I do miss you all!

Thanks mumatron for updating everyone on the arrival of Max, I'm starting to feel semi human again after one week. I was really in the trenches for my labour with waters breaking on Saturday night and giving birth Thursday AM. Not a lot happened at the hospital until early Wednesday AM. It is really incredible when you think what your body can do.

Max is a gorgeous chunky boy. Most of my NCT group had little girls under 7lbs, so he is quite the baby next to them. His head circumference was 38cm and 56cm long, weighing 9lb 7oz. I will try to get a photo of him on MN for those who I'm not linked to on FB who haven't seen him.

Thank you for all your support over the last 2 years. I did really doubt whether I would ever have a baby. Without the support I found here, I wouldn't have known what to do and ask for on the NHS. I will never forget the babies I've lost and know that they are watching over us.

LAF your DS is super gorgeous, congratulations :)

hairy Congratulations also, i don't think I saw your announcement? Any chance of a pic? :)

everyone Hope the DCs are well and life isn't too hectic for you all.

Thomas is doing brilliantly, growing fast, sitting up on his own, on 3 meals a day and far too excitable! He is currently sat next to me trying to type a message to you all Grin

DD is 4 next week Shock and I have a party to prepare (oh joy) and presents to wrap etc. We find out her primary school choice at the end of the month [nervous]. They really do grow fast.

laf I will take a look at the pic when I get on the pc, can't see much on the bb. M sounds adorable.

Hope everyone else is keeping well.

We're all fine here. E is 15mo old already . She keeps us on our toes! She does not stand still for more than 5 minutes. She still doesn't sleep too great (up at 5.30 most mornings) but I seem to be coping ok with it except I've aged about 10 yrs

coconuts I saw the pic of T sitting up today. He is so cute. Good luck with the party next week.

I'm off to eat the doughnuts that dp bought me for easter

mumatron you look far too young for your DS to be 12!! Scary isn't it!

I think I'm getting younger though, got charged 16-29 fare on the bus yesterday Grin

I am crap and rubbish and I'm really sorry it's been so long. I think I may have slipped back a little on the depression front as I always go a bit hermit-y but also fail to notice this for weeks.

Nothing much has really happened apart from just being generally overwhelmed by having to get out of bed every day and do it all over again.

I haven't even read the messages since I last posted because I'm at work and also thought I had to post SOMETHING so please give me any kickings I have earned and I will come back later.

Much love to you all, I have been thinking of you from my weird bubble of inertia.

xxx

Hello? Anyone there?

RL must be keeping you all busy!

SF No kicking necessary! You poor thing hope you can get a handle on the depression. Do you need a review of your ADs?

Waves to everyone else.

time flying by here, DS 7 months, crawling already, into everything, can already pull up to standing and is a huge chunk.

DD starts school sept, got her place the other day. We got 3rd choice, catholic school so a bit disappointed with that but hey ho.

"Rainbow Babies" is the understanding that the beauty of a rainbow does not negate the ravages of the storm. When a rainbow appears, it doesn't mean the storm never happened or that the family is not still dealing with its loss. What it means is that something beautiful and full of light has appeared in the midst of the darkness and clouds. Storm clouds may still hover but the rainbow provides a counterbalance of color, energy and hope.
That is the definition of a Rainbow Baby.

Congratulations justmee

How are you doing?

to everyone else. Life is hectic at the mo.

To add to the chaos we are decorating....Wahhh!

All ok though, Oliver is being slowly introduced to Dairy. He's 18 months old night and we think we have cracked the night wakings at last, he no longer has a bottle and slept through the last three nights so long may it continue!

DS1 has his official dx, Dyspraxia and ADD. He's enjoying OT though.

DS2 is now being investigated for ADHD and Austism. :(

Cant stop as I need to buy teacher gifts as its last day tomorrow!!

julez I used to live and work with a young lad who had dyspraxia and asperger's. he was 9 when I knew him and he is now 18 with a gf and going to college. It made me feel considerably old and rather proud to know him. things may seem scary now, and obvs I know the spectrum is huge, but things can and will improve, esp if you can get a statement and get the right help regarding schooling etc. xx
